Sped things up a bit.
I used this processor to upgrade my son's Toshiba laptop that had a T5550 installed. It wasn't a lot, but it was cheap and the other upgrades (SSD and more RAM) had already been done. It draws the same amount of power but is about 25% faster and has twice the L2 cache. For the money, it was worth it to buy another 6 months or so.
