for the price it does a good job but can go haywire with poor antenna receptionalso one of the buttons on the remote control popped off after repeated use

I had nothing but problems with this device:--It froze and restarted itself at least 3 times a day.--The product description says that you get a 7-day schedule of tv programs, but all my channels only provided (at most) 6-12 hours of upcoming tv programs. Technically, it could probably show 7 days of shows, but the manufacturer doesn't mention that almost all channels provide at most a few hours of scheduling info at any given time.--The remote was very finicky. You had to smash the buttons really hard and aim just right.--I didn't like the display on the actual device. It numbered your channels from 1-??? and displayed that number rather than the actual channel number. What purpose does that serve? I put electrical tape over it to block it off.--When you set a timer to record a show, the box must be ON for the show to record. The box could NOT turn on at the appropriate time, record, and then power off. This meant I was keeping the device on all the time.I replaced this BoostWaves device with a cheaper device from a competitor and it works so much better. It doesn't shut down all the time, has a less finicky remote, and features a timer that turns on my device when I record a show via the timer. So glad I got rid of the BoostWaves box.

Unit was made a little bet better than a another unit I purchased. The unit did not receive all my local station. Disappointed with the station strength bar. my original unit had a strength and quality bars to adjust antenna this unit is what I am trying to replace; but did record. I live in a rural area.

I've had to keep rebooting the channel selection because the image will just stop and come back intermittently so it is a real problem. There is no phone contact to call anywhere on the paperwork or the box so no available troubleshooting help in that sense. If anyone has a solution please post.

Item arrived quickly - new - as expected. It is exactly what I needed and besides the sluggish remote it is perfect for my needs.Does anyone know if a Universal Remote would work on this & if it would speed up the process? Thanks!

Bought this to replace my old RCA box and I could not be happier. This box does everything that I wanted it to do and more. It has an easy USB slot for media files. As well as games integrated into the box itself. While some boxes are hard to set up, this box was not. My six year old actually followed the prompts on the screen and did it for me, I would highly recommend this box to anyone needing one.

Is the best of the bunch I tried. Signal strength reporting is very good. Has good sensitivity equaling that of my Samsung Flat Screen TV running off the same media distribution panel in another room.

If I could turn the TV on and off, I would give it five stars
