An Excellent and Affordable Speedlite for Enthusiasts
I recently picked up the PHOOTOLEX FK310 LCD Camera Flash Speedlite, and I'm incredibly impressed, especially given its very reasonable price point. As someone who shoots with multiple camera systems, the broad compatibility (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, Fujifilm, Pentax, Sigma, Minolta, Leica, and other DSLRs/digital cameras with a single contact hot shoe) was a huge selling point, and I can confirm it works seamlessly with my Canon body. The build quality feels solid – not overly heavy, but robust enough for regular use. The LCD screen is clear and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through settings and adjust power levels on the fly. The head swivels and tilts extensively, which is crucial for bouncing flash and achieving more natural-looking light, and it locks securely into place. What really stands out for me is the performance. It delivers consistent, powerful light, and the recycle times are surprisingly fast for a flash in this category. I've used it for both indoor portraits and some fill-flash outdoors, and it's performed admirably every time. The inclusion of the color filter set and a protective pouch is a fantastic bonus, adding even more value to an already well-priced package.Whether you're a budding photographer looking to step up from your camera's built-in flash, or an experienced enthusiast needing a reliable and versatile off-camera flash without breaking the bank, the PHOOTOLEX FK310 is an outstanding choice. It's truly punching above its weight class! Highly recommended.

Worked great for about 2 months but now it won't turn on
I bought this for my photography business and it worked great at first, fired every time I took a pic, was nice and bright even on the lower settings. But two weeks ago I brought it to a show I was shooting and it wouldn't turn on, I figured it was the batteries so I luckily was able to get some batteries from the owner of the venue who was nice enough to help me out, but I had only used it at one or two other shows prior to this one so it seemed odd to me that a flash that has only been used a few times could eat up batteries that quickly. Regardless, I got through that show just fine. Then, this past Friday, I took it to another show. That morning I turned it on and tested it to make sure we didn't have a repeat of the previous show's issue. It turned on and the flash worked just fine, I hit the test button a few times and everything seemed to be in order. Then I get to the show, and it just won't turn on at all. Nothing. Completely dead. No blinking light showing that it's trying to turn on (which happened the first time when it was just the batteries), no nothing. I even gave the batteries to a kid who needed batteries for HIS camera's flash at that show, and his flash turned on fine immediately after that. So, in short, this thing sucks ass. I loved it at first, but it's hardly worth saving yourself the money of buying a cheap flash when the cheap flash doesn't do the one thing you bought it for after a few shoots. Total garbage, and of course it's too late to return it now. Save up your money and just buy a nicer one from a reputable brand and not this junk.
