Universal Jumbo Remote Control TV-DVD-Cable It's Huge - Never Lose it!

I bought this for my in-laws when they moved to assisted living. They love it! The setup was easy. But, the directions are in incredibly small type. I was able to read it just fine but if my in-laws had tried to do it themselves it would have been impossible. As others have mentioned, I'm not sure why the manufacturer would promote a product for those with vision problems and then include instructions in such small type.The product itself, however, is well worth the investment for those with vision problems.

Great remote, doesn't get lost as easy. Ordered anothervfor husband so he has his own control! The large buttons are great. Bought a couple for for my son in law. Does take a little time to get the right code for it to work between tv and Dishes dvr but does work with right code.

The remote is just as described in terms of its size and look, but the remote won't connect to any televisions, (new or old that are on the device list it comes with) regardless if you properly follow the instructions... and I tried several times which was disappointing. I even tried googling any other possible instructions or programming help online, but didn't find anything.I purchased it as a present for my 80 year old grandmother and was hoping would be of use to her if even just a little. It was, however, a funny gift for the entire 5 minutes it took her to open it and look at it, but sadly that is the only benefit I got from this product.I WILL say that the average review is about 3 out of 5 stars so I wasn't completely surprised but I wouldn't recommend buying this remote. Although if it had worked for my grandmother, I wouldn't have cared about the rest of its flaws, other than making sure it worked consistently.As a side note, although they are minor, there are a lot of little things that I dislike about the remote; half the buttons don't even push in and the rest just don't work or push in, and even the instructions are awful - like frustratingly bad. They are not helpful, on flimsy paper, the size of a small pack of gum, printed in barely readable small font, and poorly formatted AND written with very bad descriptions. It probably cost a dime to make and it shows in the details. No matter how funny this gift could be, I would recommend finding a different one or just buying it as a joke instead of as a working remote. In this item's case, you get what you pay for. Sadly, in my case I got less! (Definitely not worth twelve dollars - which is cheap already, so that alone says it all.)

Received the first remote -we could not find the instructions. Called customer service (they were very nice). We tried with their help to program it - it didn't work. They sent us a second remote - finally found the instructions (between the front cardboard)-I found the manual online and printed it so we could read it. Again with the customer service (still Nice) but no luck. It would not program our Vizio,our DVD, or our cable box. Wasted my money , my husband's time and the company's time. A real piece of junk.

It's definitely a big Asz remote control. The directions were written so small I had to use a powerful magnifying glass to read them. I have programmed several remote controls like this manually and it was the same level of effort as the others, forever punching in codes to find the right one for your TV and Cable box. My cable box was easier to set up as a DVR so I used that approach. The biggest thing I dislike about this remote is that it requires you to push a lot of buttons to make it work. Once you get it set up and get over the learning curve it's a pretty nice remote and you never have to worry about losing it or not being able to read the buttons. Given that the setup was difficult and the learning curve is steep, I wouldn't recommend this to elderly people.

Highly recommended if you are buying Meet Edison robots. Worked first time with no coding. As for TV haven't tried it, but it's light and easy to use so I expect it to be fun to use.

Just wanted to clarify that this is just a remote that can be used with the preset codes. It is very large & easy to find. I think it is great for those that have mobility issues with their hands & the small buttons are difficult to use. I bought this for my aging parents & was under the impression it was a "learning" remote that could be programmed from another remote--that is NOT the case. I was mislead by the question & answer section where someone listed a link to how to program it with another remote. That is a different jumbo remote by Sharper Image. This is a great remote if it has your electronics preprogrammed into it. I can not use it with the ROKU my parents have as that was not pre-programmed into it. I have since bought the Sharper Image remote which I can program.

That is the Best Universal Jumbo Remote Control out their: 1.) You can't lose it or mis-place it. 2.) You not going hear, where is the remote. 3.) The key pads are large. 4.) I had the regular size remote, always losing it. I can go on and on and on with good remarks about my Jumbo remote control. the next time you lose or mis-place your TV remote you got to order the Universal Jumbo Remote Control that a 10 in my books.....
