Flexson Single Tilt and Swivel Wall Mount Bracket for SONOS PLAY:5 - Black

I got the old play 5 just before they were discontinued for the new crappy design The original play 5 has a tuned port, a true mid-range, two tweeters, AND it is wall mountable! It sounds great! The new play 5 drops the mid-range in favor of tweeters and doesn't have the tuned port, making it too bright. Worse, there is no wall mount! What is Sonos thinking? Audiophile speakers are mounted in pairs on the wall. Of course, people buying the play 1 and/or the new Sonos probably listen to crappy music, so who cares how it sounds. If you are lucky enough to have the original play 5, these are the mounts you need. P.S. they are kind of pricey until you consider how much the Sonos weighs and the fact that these do allow you good flexibility in adjusting the angles.

Excellent bracket, a little bit expensive but if you got a sonos system I suppose you want the best and this is perfect. Easy to install and is very solid

Worked perfectly for me with 2 x Play:5 mounted half way up the wall in my living room. Since my house was new construction I had electric outlets installed where I intended to mount them.

Essentially you are paying £63 for a piece of powder coated pressed and bent metal that can't cost more than £4 to make. Feels like they are hanging on the coat tails of the Sonos premium brand but really this is a cheap product.It is very easy to fit but part of the bracket covers the bass port, also slightly concerned that the bracket may mark the Play 5 as in most places there is no protective rubber covering.This newer model looks like it has been designed to save manufacturing costs over their last model as there is significantly less material and consequently it looks like the Play 5 is held less securely.In the end I reluctantly kept it as the Alphson alternative is the same price and similar construction, but I do feel ripped off. IMO it should be priced at circa. £15 - 20.
