Stronger than what you could make from wood alone.
Great product! Gate will fit almost any opening. This worked great for my broken plastic gate. Was easy to build and came out great. Total was about 200$ after I purchased the 2x4s and fence boards.Much cheaper than a new plastic gate that isn’t as sturdy. Just bought another one to replace the seconddamaged gate with a 46” opening.

Ingenious
I buy products on Amazon just about every day but this is my first review. I feel compelled to write about this product. I finished installing these gates today and I am in love. I bought three of them: 2 for a double and a single. The price is high but it's worth every penny in my opinion. 1. The gate is lightweight, hollow aluminum without losing strength. It looks like gym equipment material. I have helped install a custom fabricated metal gate and they are heavy which makes the whole thing just that more cumbersome to work with but also increases sag. The adjust a gate system is easy to work with and I installed the whole thing solo. 2. Flexible - this is the real power of this gate. I had to have my gates to a precise width and height. I had a top rail cap on my fence and I wanted the gate to match the fence; therefore I had to be precise. If I had something fabricated instead of this product and my measurements were off by a hair:; it would all be a waste. This gate served this purpose beautifully. 3. Comes with everything you need. I read online that the hardware (screws , wire support, latch) were bad. I was shocked when I felt the screws, latch etc. and determined this to be of great quality for a kit. I do wish they had a few extra metal screws because I used a lot for my latch system and ran out. 4. Packaged well - my 3 were all in white boxes packages in a brown cardboard box. All items were there. 5. Hinges are installed on the inside of your posts. Take a second to understand what that means because I didn't /wouldn't. This is beneficial because gravity keeps the gates on the hinge bolts and you can lift the entire gate if you need to for replacement or to get a large vehicle in or whatever. This type of hinges also are very strong and swing very well and quietly compared to other types. The hinges are recommended to be installed on the back 1" of the posts and open in. I didn't do that on my double gate because I used 6x6 posts and wanted the pickets to line up from fence to gate. My double gate will therefore not open all the way which is not a big deal for me as I absolutely wanted the front of the pickets to line up.Things to note: 1. Instructions could go in a little greater detail in a few areas. 2. Make sure you have a 1/2" spade bit for the hinges. You will need to go pretty far into the post with the spade bit for the hinges. For a 4x4 post, you go just short of going through the whole post. 3. If you want a professional looking gate that is lightweight, strong, and most of all flexible so that you can adjust not only for sag but for building it; I recommend this gate. 5 stars

Very sturdy, well made, may need wider facade boards
The design is very nice, no sagging, very strong, I would purchase again. The only problem I had was applying the vertical facade boards to the front. The space between the hinges, and the inner metal portion of the gate is 4-5 inches. My facade boards were 6 inch (5.5 true) width, leaving very little for retention onto the wooden cross boards. It just means I had a wider gap along the hinge side, instead of a more uniform appearance. If I had used a wider facade board it would not have been an issue. But still, simple, nicely made, very functional.

great gate, cheap hardware
The gate itself is a 5 star product - minus 1/2 star for ridiculously cheap hardware, and minus another 1/2 because people have been reporting this in their reviews for ages, and the manufacturer is not listening.PROS: arrived in great condition, great finish on the steel, very simple to install. Bought 2 to make a 12 foot double gate and its perfect - no sag whatsoever.CONS: cheap & nasty screws & latch (the hinges are great). Wood screws were passable, but the steel self-tappers weren't (replaced these with decent ones). The latch isn't galvanized or otherwise treated and I imagine will rust. Also, need to cut recess into 1st board as hinge receivers and bolt protrude.TIPS: the gate is designed top open inwards, but mine was to replace an outward opening gate (due to direction of slope). You can do this by swapping the sides of the latch and latch bar. Also, the steel plate that protects the latch from slamming needs to be mounted on the board side - so you need to make a cut-out on the first board to allow it to contact the frame when it closes (I overlapped half a board so that the cutout is covered when the gate closes)The gate is also designed to latch against a gate post. If you need it to latch against a second gate (or open outwards), you will need to drill your own holes to mount the latch and bar. The size of the steel frame, position of the welds etc doesn't give you much room, but it is doable if you are careful. Also, check the frame for square front to back before you screw in your 2x4s. I had to push my bottom 2x4 outwards with respect to the frame to keep it square (as timbers weren't dead straight). Once the screws were in, it was perfect.Final tip - the hinge receivers on the frame and the bolt head protrude on the board side of the gate. If you want those boards to lie flat on the frame, use a sharp chisel to cut a recess into the board to allow it to sit flat on the frame.

Adjustable Gate Frame
I had been looking for a gate for my storage shed area as I was replacing all wood slats to existing 4 x 4’s. My storage shed area is 6 feet deep by 9 feet wide. Adjust-O-Gate has met all my expectations. Easy to install, very sturdy and well built and strong to hold wood fence slats 6 feet tall and has an adjustment cable if necessary to take out any future SAG that may occur. Highly recommend this for someone wanting a gate that will last many years in good fine working order. The adjuster gate comes with all parts necessary, except for an exterior gate handle.
