Nice lighted collar
I have a black Labrador Retriever who, when he goes out into the fenced yard at night, disappears! This collar is great and is visible no matter where he goes in the yard. I left it full size so I can just slip it over his head when he goes out, but it can be cut to size and has a connector for ease of taking on and off. It has three settings - quick flash, slow flash or steady glow. It charges quickly using the included USB cord. My dog has worn it outside in snow and rain without a problem.Update: I have now been using this collar for a little over a year. It is used only for about five minutes a night, but it no longer holds a charge and the battery runs down very quickly. I used to charge it once every couple of weeks but now I'm having to charge it every couple of days. I have contacted the seller to see if it has a replaceable battery. If it does not, I'm afraid it's not going to continue to function very much longer...Update Number 2: I contacted the seller to see if the battery could be replaced on this collar. I was informed it could not be replaced but I was sent a replacement collar.

Five stars!
This past winter during a snowstorm I was on my snowmobile coming back from the local store just down the road from my house. I was going at a pretty fast pace. I saw the light from about 100 yards away and immediately slowed down because I was not sure what it was. As I drove by I saw it was my neighbor with his dog. I saw him a few days later and apologized for going so fast because I was not expecting anyone that late at night walking their dog. I commented as to how bright his dogs collar was and asked him where he got the collar. He told me off of Amazon for $10. I thought that was a great deal because I was always using up my camping chem-lights on my dog at night because I couldn't see her. She is a black shepherd and very difficult to see at night. This is a great deal for anyone wanting to keep track of their dog at night. Since it is rechargeable I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of it without having to buy batteries. A little red light comes on when it is charging and goes out when it is done. The collar last about three hours before it starts to dim. Takes about an hour and a half to charge. As for trimming the caller I cut as much off as I could without cutting out any lights. I contacted the seller and was told that it would still work if I cut out some of the lights to shorten it. Still have not done it. It fits loosely but I put it through the D-ring on my dogs collar and it stays around her neck. Great color! I would buy another one.Update: I was driving my car this past winter at night a few months back. As I came around a bend in the road a truck was waiting to cross my lane into their driveway. I remember thinking it was odd because they had plenty of time to turn into the driveway but they were just sitting there. As I approached the truck lights were in my eyes a little so I was looking at the right side of the road. There was a snowbank on the side of the road except for the end of the driveway. Not sure how close I was, maybe 50 feet, before I saw the dog at the end of his driveway partially out in the road. I remember yelling a choice word as I slammed on the brakes. Thank god the dog jumped back at the last second. I looked in my rear view mirror and they had pulled into the driveway and the dog was walking out in the road. I was so glad I did not hit the dog. I travel that road frequently to go shopping in town and would look at the house for the dog as I drove by. Then it hit me, the dog collar. For under $10 I could have one mailed to their house from my Amazon account. That would give me peace of mind and was a small price to pay. Our pets are a part of our family so we must do what we can to protect them. I hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

Best product for outside use
I wondered if this collar was worth my time and money after reading some of the reviews! So I took the chance and ordered it. We own a black schnauzer and trying to find him in the dark is impossible, not any more, he's like following a green ping pong ball. He has a certain route that we now follow when he is out, we stand and laugh, this is better entertainment than any electronic device! We don't dread letting him out on his half acre to do his business. The collar was so large that thank goodness we could just double it up and it slips on and off. He only wears it when he goes out, this is only an aid to find the dog not a collar you can use to walk your dog with. You would need a regular collar for that.So glad I ordered will do again if this one ever quits. Had a video to show how well it works but can't seem to retrieve. So here is a pic.

My black dog is visible at night!!
I have two black labs that I could not see at night. We live on acreage so our dogs are often off leash unlike subdivision dogs. At night, walking to the lake or allowing them to do their business, I would leash them. This inexpensive little night light has changed all that. I love this thing!

Move Over Spuds McKenzie there's a new party dog on the block!
The media could not be loaded. My friends dog is lit! We celebrated my friends Dog birthday, he's a black lab, his name is Elton. We walk him at night in the forest and because he's black this is the perfect way to keep track this night time party dog! You can switch the setting to strobe or steady! Usually these light up products have a short shelf and after they burn out they are gone but not this one! What's super cool it about is it's rechargeable! Yes, you can charge it up over and over again! Elton loves it and he wears it with pride! We've substituted "wanna walk" for "party time". If you're like us and like safe night walks this LED Dog Collar is the perfect.

BAD PRODUCT - They changed to an obsolete charging connector
I re-ordered the same lighted dog collar I bought a year ago, and was highly irritated to find out that they changed the USB charging receptacle. The old one along with ALL of my other devices use a standard oval shaped micro-USB connecter. Standard everywhere. What they did is change it to a trapezoidal shaped mini-USB connector. It's called a "Asian Triangle" shape. THIS IS AN OLD STANDARD AND IS OBSOLETE. Why did the geniuses who designed this thing change the connector? It means you MUST use the little 1 foot stubby cable they gave you to charge the collar. If you loose it, you are totally out of luck. BAD DESIGN IDEA. If you loose the little stub cable, it can't be recharged. So, BAD PRODUCT.I would return it in an instant, but I cut a little off the end to better fit my dog. So, I can't return this piece of junk.

Fiddly
I cut mine so it will slip over the dogs head as the button to open it is a bit fiddly

Not recommended for small pets
I was disappointed with this collar. Its just a rubber tube with the same tiny lights you can buy at any dollar store. Not worth the price of it or shipping fee. Not ment for tiny pets. Wont stay together once we cut it for the size of our large cat. Would have got a better review from me if this actually worked for my cat. Not recommended for small pets.

Garbage
What a cheap product. Not even close to worth buying. Hardly works after the first recharge and the lights stutter and flicker even with it charged. It lasts less than a 1km walk after the first charge and that’s it. I used it maybe a total of 8 walks. Don’t waste your time.
