Great for brooder. love the attachment options all included
Great with less space and cleaner than and less spillage than the round waterers for chicks in brooder!!!! Liked all the parts that come with it. For thus single waterer kit, the lid does not stay on very well and always pops off when picking it up to refill. My chicks have also climbed up on top and knocked the lid off or into the water. A combo kit option from the renza-coop store is available w the same size feeder and waterer that includes a sturdier pointed lid instead of the flip easy fill lid and fits much better. I swapped the lids and am using the flip lid from this product for the little feeder instead. The easy flip door on the top of the lid that came in this kit is a good idea (and prob fine if waterer is attached to cage or wall) but doesnt matter when the lid doesnt stay on when picking it up and you have to refill with the lid off anyway. This is due to the plastic giving somewhat when held. This was the first rent a coop product i tried besides their net fence and i do love the smaller attachment for the waterer the chicks can use by tapping the button/knob. I started them off with the cup and then switched to the knob because its cleaner imo. I love that all the parts come with it and you can change out the attachment based on what animal or age of animal. Comes w the cupn the nipple, and knob along w the spring to attach to a cage. Super cool! If you choose the cup i recommend getting the cup covers from the company store as well. Keeps the cups a lot cleaner! But the cups do not work unless you have the container raised up or hanging or attached to cage/wall since the cups sit lower than the container. And if the container is sitting on the cups, they tilt slightly, pouring the water out. The mini cups w knob thst animal has to press for water to floe is easy for chicks and chickens to learn quickly and has less water loss. Chicks will still manage to get dirt in the mini cup but there is a lip where the knob is that allows the ester to hit the lip first so they can get cleaner water. Thus, I transition to that once they've gotten used to the new waterer. It can sit on the ground unlike the bigger cup. Love that all the cup/knob/nipple attachments are interchangeable with any size waterer from this brand. I love that they all are included so you xan try out and use whichever is best for your animals or seap out as they grow and I have now switched to these waterers for all of my chickens of all stages.

Great if your chicks are smarter than mine!
My chickens would not give this a good review! It was easy to use and it didn’t leak, but my chicks never figured it out. I’ll will say that it was easy to assemble and it seems durable.

Great idea, but a few cons
This product is the best waterer to use for chicks, although there are a few things to note. 1) The chicks needed some time to figure it out. I would definitely recommend that you use a waterer that they are familiar with this until you are sure that all of them get how to use this one. 2) I have not yet tried cleaning it, so I am not sure how easy it is to do. 3) As for setting it up, It is hard to find stuff to prop it up with to get it above the chicks head (which I think you are supposed to do, but look at the instructions before you adjust the hight.) Rent a coop might sell something to help with that, so I would look into it if you are having a hard time. 4) I have noticed there is water underneath it. It might have dripped from the chicks drinking, its manufacturing, or maybe I just didn't screw it on tight enough. This product is well worth it though! It is much safer, nicer, cleaner, and easier that the old chick waterers! The bit of water that does drip is not a reason I would return this product.

Perfect for a brooder
This worked great for my baby chicks. They learned how to use it quickly. Very easy to hook to the chicken wire. I sat it on a brick to elevate it because you cant use the L-shaped attachment with it sitting on the floor. It does NOT leak which surprised me! I switched out the attachments several times and the gasket is still holding strong. I do wish it was a little bigger. As the chicks grow they empty it pretty quick.

Good for baby chicks
Worked great for our baby chicks. Need to prop it up in something. We used a brick so it was high enough for the chicks to get underneath.

Overall a good waterer
I have had this 3 weeks and it's a good size for our indoor playpen. Capacity is great. It came with 2 watering attachments. 1) A nibble attachment that the chicks picked up on very quickly. It does not leak when not in use. However, when the chicks drink, I feel more water ends up on the ground than in their mouths. I fixed that with a piece of parchment paper to keep the paper towels and shavings from getting soaked and having to be needlessly tossed. 2) The red cup with nibble attachment was easy for the chicks to figure out and doesn't drip water, BUT the nibble doesn't let enough water out. Even though they all peck at it there's never water in the cup. I filled the cup with water and the all ran to drink up. I just purchased a different cup from Rentacoop. It's supposed to fill itself without a nibble. It's arriving tomorrow so I hope this one will do the trick. Lastly, I don't love the lid. I have to really make sure it's on securely everytime I refill it. My oldest chicks are 3 weeks old and getting rambunctious. It's only a matter of time before they're big enough to knock it and I want to be sure if it gets tipped over it won't spill.

Works as intended
Water container doesn’t leak. It is durable and easy to clean. The birds don’t seam to have an issue getting water.

Leaks badly
I have two problems with this product. The first and the worst problem is that when you assemble the cup to attach to the side of the waterer, you have to slide the cup onto the button .. which you then install into the plastic container. The two pieces don't meet well and it leaves a gap between the cup and the button. The water spills out the back and down onto the ground making a bad mess. It's important to keep the litter dry to prevent disease so this is a serious problem. The second problem is a lesser problem because the period of time you would use this product would be short since you would use it only for chicks. The lid has a flap on top to open for pouring liquid. The flap has very small and weak tabs that function as a hinge. These will break easily over time and makes it difficult to reattach the flap to the lid if it comes off while you're handling the flap... Which it does easily.
