My father was a painting contractor. I was a painter for 12 years (7 as a maintenance painter in a hospital). I really love these! If you price a local hardware store, they generally run $2-$4. Each. Here you get the same thing for about 50 cents each when buying bulk. Recommendation: 1. Take a pair if scissors, and place the blade against the end *without* the hole. So that you get some of the knap covering the blade. Cut off anything the blade can touch (leaving a blades width of knap). 2. Trim all the way around the end that doesn't have a hole. 3. Go around again, pulling to find any knap that was trying to hide. Why? Because the knap tends to flare out about 1/2". If trimmed, you can get close to a wall / trim / casing. VERY close. Keep the scissors handy, as even if you're careful, some of the knap after getting wet with paint may relax. Cut that off, and clean the scissors. Find and use a bucket grid. If you don't know how that works? Check YouTube. These fit well in a 1 gallon container. Cleanup: You could just use and toss. I used to clean these SEVERAL times. It's pretty quick if you have a 2x4 that's about 4' long. Dip in water, have the 2x4 or 2x2 over the lawn (presuming latex paint, not oil base), and give it a quick spin. More water, repeat. Caution, this WILL splatter paint. Wear clothing that can get paint on them. The water is what's pulling the paint out of the roller. When it appears clean? Give it another round or two. Maybe even add some inexpensive hair shampoo (there is some oil in Latex paint. Then get some hair conditioner, and work it into the knap. Rinse before use, and you have a nice soft roller to work with. Brushes are great for straight lines. Rollers are great for applying paint. Marry the two, and you have a system for speed and accuracy.

These paint roller covers are a solid choice for anyone needing replacements. The quality is great, and they provide a smooth, even coat of paint without shedding or leaving behind fibers, which can be a real hassle. The material is durable, and the covers hold up well, even during extended painting sessions. I’ve used these on both textured and smooth surfaces, and they work equally well for both. They provide great coverage, and I’ve been able to get a nice, even finish without streaking. The replacement process is super easy—just slide them on and off the handle with no trouble at all. Overall, these roller covers are a fantastic value. They perform just as well as more expensive brands but at a much better price. If you’re looking for reliable, no-fuss roller covers that deliver smooth results, I definitely recommend these!

These rollers are good but not great. Last a long time but have some problems with "shedding" strands of fabric. Great value though!
