nice for playing when dark but QC issues with rubber tips *** UPDATED REVIEW***
The media could not be loaded. There were 4 birdies in the box:Blue, Red, Green and multi-color flash.The problem lies in the quality of the rubber tip...out of the box, there were large chunks of the birdie rubber part missing. I'm sure this affects the way the birdie bounces off the racket face. Two birdies had chunks missing, including the multi-color birdie which had a big chunk right on the center.I'm hoping the seller can send us a new one.Other than that, I will update review to let everyone know how long the batteries last.***8/4/2020 UPDATE***I asked for a replacement box and was quickly sent four new birdies - all without tip damage. Thanks again! I will be returning the original box of birdies to UPS this week!

Surprisingly Durable
When I opened the box I thought these things would last an hour, tops. It looks like the "goose feathers" were just glued on. However, we bashed the same one around for four hours several days a week and it still flies well. No significant damage. The green one's light turned off a couple times when people hit it. Not sure why. I thought I broke it, but it was fine once I turned the light back on. So much fun to play at night!

Not the colors shown, Not very bright, already flicker after hitting them a few times
We got 2 red which it shows you get 4 different colors, These are not even bright. They look Like they light up in the photos shown, they are white feathers and the green is the brightest, they are still hard to see at night. After hitting them only about 7-8 times...they already flicker.

Great led shuttles

They really do light up and work great at night
They really do light up and work great at night. My son has been nuts about badminton this summer and we bought these to play until the wee hours of dusk. These come with real feathers and not the plastic style that we also have. These do fly differently than the tournament styled ones that we have but it's just a minor learning curve. The novelty of the lights are worth it and it does have an on/off switch to conserve battery.

Great fun
We bought these for our outdoor set and used them in conjunction with solar LED lights as suggested by another review. Great idea. We've used them a few times this summer. They work well. One star deduction because when hit hard the LED can be turned off by the momentum transfer induced in the push button switch. That's a rally killer. It would be better if the switch were a slide switch. It would then be much less likely that the LED could be turned off by simply hitting it.Another suggestion is to have a cover over the LED or mount it facing the tip. The way it is currently mounted it points backwards. It provides adequate illumination as is, but is almost blinding to look at it when playing in complete darkness. This is a quibble. They are great fun. Recommended.
