It's Ok.
Like CharlieFoxtrot posted, I also have had the same issues with just sitting on the bike.He mentioned this "I'm around 270lbs, and even with it adjusted to it's max setting I do think I'm probably not getting full advantage of the suspension travel; it feels like I take up 1-1.5" of travel just sitting on it"This is exactly what happens with me. I am 260lbs and I have the same issue. The bike seat will go down about 1.5" as soon as I sit on it. I don't really notice it "absorbing" over bumps and when I sit on it if I slowly decrease the pressure on the seat, it doesn't return back to the top. You kind of have to hit a bump and immediately lift so it will lift back up.I'll keep it for a couple more weeks, but so far I'm not super impressed.

Cheap way to add comfort to your seat...
I purchased the 30.9mm version to add some comfort to my NCM Moscow e-bike seat, as the weight of the bike makes it crash hard over even minor bumps (like tree root cracks in pavement, curb transitions, etc).I'm around 270lbs, and even with it adjusted to it's max setting I do think I'm probably not getting full advantage of the suspension travel; it feels like I take up 1-1.5" of travel just sitting on it. A lighter rider would probably benefit more than I do, but even with that said it's still MUCH more comfortable, and doesn't crash over bumps and feel like I'm going to shake parts off the bike like it did before. Well worth the money IMO. A good option for road users, but maybe not enough suspension for off-road users and really big bumps or jumps.Seems like a very high quality piece, with good quality hardware, and very easy to install and adjust. No instructions included, but it's pretty easy to figure out how to adjust it. I also like that its made in Taiwan and not China.

Did not work for me.
Very stiff spring. At my 170 lbis not compressing at all. Should comewith choice of springs - for different weights.

Recommend for Lectric Ebikes
This is a very solid suspension seat post. Fit the Lectric XP perfectly with a Cloud 9 seat attached. Very good quality from first impressions. Highly recommend! Will update review with photos after a few months usage.

It didn't move when I encountered bumps.
Appears well made and seat connections allow for many seat positions. Unfortunately the post doesn't absorb any of the road imperfections. With a lot of effort I can push down on it I can make it move ~1/2". When I put my 185# body on it nothing happens. I put my finger on the shaft next to the bottom case and intentionally ran over deep ruts and felt no movement. Not sure if this designed for someone much heavier. No instructions came with it and doesn't suggest that it is adjustable. Sadly I'm sending it back.

work well
I am not pro rider or doesn't intend to do crazy jumps or rough rides , just nice and chill trail or alittle bumpy rides . So i didn't wanted to invest on dropper post with those over price tag (cheap one are not much different from having quick release anyway). So I bought 2 of these (27.2 & 30.9) , one for my wife and one for myself , just to try it out..There is adjustment hex screw at bottom , so that you can adjust how stiff or how soft you want as your weight and riding style ...But i will not recommend for who weight less than 100 lb ..My wife is alittle less than around 105lb and softest setting is kinda still stiff for her (hope it will brake in after some ridding) . I am around 180lb and it work fine for me (just have to adjust the way i like it ) ..I tried my wife's bike post too , but that 27.2 post seem to have abit of tikking noise whenever while it's working. may be i got defective one , who knows .. but my wife seem not to bother by it , so i ended up keeping both.haven't try on long ride yet and can't say anything about how long it will last either, but it seem really really good quality post price as far as i can see . well worth it for me.

Great for hard trails on my E-bike, 220 pound rider
Usage: Riding a 20" fat tire, hard tail E-bike on rough trails was hammering my butt and breaking my seats. Roots, rocks, pot-holes, etc., and that was even with my tires soft at a very low 10-12 PSI. Finally got smart and got this seat post, and my troubles are over. I'm now floating instead of banging. It's a HUGE improvement, everything I had hoped for. And unlike the expensive springy suspended seat that broke under the punishment in 2 weeks, this suspension post doesn't leave your seat wobbling around from side to side, so the bike still feels tightly in control. I would give it 10 stars if I could.Quality: this suspension seat post seems very well made and finished, unlike the reviews of some other inexpensive seat posts you will find. The sliding post is very smooth, so there is no grinding and very little friction. The spring adjustment works well, and for my weight on rough trails I pretty much maxed it out to prevent bottoming out, but could run it softer for smoother road riding. The seat attachment system is brilliant, extremely well designed and built, and very easy to set securely at any seat angle.Verdict: Top Notch, one of the best possible upgrades for any hard-tail bike. Am buying again. I'm leaving this review since I came back to the page to buy another one for my wife's E-bike, and my dad will soon be buying one too. I hear some of the super fancy ones for over $150 might be a bit better, but not four times better.Caveat: does not come with a cover tube to keep dirt and rain off the sliding bits. I will sew up 3 of them soon. But even using zip ties to secure a wrap of waterproof cloth or thin neoprene fabric would work perfectly and take mere minutes. For the price, this is not a complaint, and we get to pick our own colors :)
