WiremoldLegrand - Legrand V5700F Flexible Section Fitting Raceway, Ivory

These flexible sections are not carried in retail stores and must be special ordered. The online price at Wiremold dot com is quite high and I am fortunate to have found them at Amazon for a very reasonable cost, even considering shipping. The standard length is 18" overall, and these came in white as opposed to beige color. These sections are indispensable when going around difficult inside corners, especial when there is molding to pass over. They are designed to couple straight sections of 500 or 700 Wiremold. Longer flexible sections can be special ordered from Wiremold, however this standard length will serve most situations where difficult inside corners are encountered.

If you don’t have nice neat 90 deg angles, this is a necessity, also if you need to go over molding without cutting through it. The most difficult part of installing it is the final step of putting the cover over the tubing and raceway because the screws are so short.

I needed this part to install a Wiremold conduit channel over an existing conduit on my garage's ceiling. On the positive side, it does what it's supposed to do, with a neat jump over the obstruction. On the negative side, it was not easy to join the fittings to both the Wiremold conduit and flexible tube. The semi-circular portion of the fittings on the flexible tubing side did not envelop the tube's shape all the way, and required a good deal of pressure to get them to fasten down flush to the ceiling I was able to get it to work well enough, but it was somewhat of a struggle.The finished installation does the job (wish I could have gotten this piece in white), but I think the connecting fittings could be increased in size to avoid having to compress the flexible conduit ends so much when tightening it down. Also, I think the price of this kit is higher than it should be considering what it is: a flexible piece of conduit with two attached fittings.Still, I'm glad this solution was available, as it did allow me to avoid running a long go-around of conduit and wiring.

Flex part is just painted standard flexible conduit. For the price one would think the manufacture would have provided something that properly fit into the provided connectors.
