Great STEM Toy for my Nearly Four-Year-Old Granddaughter
When I looked at this when it was auto-shipped as part of my STEM subscription I was a little worried that she was too advanced for it. I was wrong. It will be a valuable toy to stimulate her math education. We started out by putting all the pegs in the pegboards, as well as attaching the numbers. One thing that is great about this kit is there is a peg for every pegboard, which so many educational toys would not have. We then played some addition and subtraction games and she invented a couple of non-math games to keep the playtime going.I recommend this, primarily for three and four-year-olds, that do not know their numbers or how to add and subtract, as it is an excellent learning tool for pre-schoolers.

A bit pricey for a puzzle, but educational.
I wanted something that would help my 2 1/2 year old visually recognize his numbers instead of just reciting them and thought this would be helpful. He loves it as he likes to work on puzzles and likes the stacking pegs. I like that the crepe rubber is thick. I had ordered some other Lauri products recently but was disappointed by the quality (thinness) of the crepe rubber. Since this one has the stacking pegs, I hypothesized that the crepe rubber would be thicker to hold the pegs in and indeed it is. A quality item that will last through more than one child. (The alphabet set contains the thinner crepe rubber.)

self correcting number puzzle
Sturdy foam 1 to 10 puzzle pieces that offer lots of self-correcting pincer-grasp activities for my 3yo. My infant grabbed a few pieces and chomped on them and thankfully was not able to rip off a piece...so I'm happy with the sturdy factor and the nice large no-choking size of the pegs. The number itself pops into the top piece, then that piece attaches to the bottom piece where the corresponding number of pegs pop into. Some things we're doing:1. Put the number where it fits in the top tile.2. Count out the pegs as you put them in the holes in the bottom tile3. Attach the top tile to the corresponding bottom tile.4. Arrange the tiles from 1 to 10.5. Least to greatest/greatest to least.

My 3 and 4 year old students love this math activity. Perfect activity that they can do on their own.
