I like this hat, it definitely protects from the sun. I’m from Arizona where I’m always getting sun burnt and this is great since it has lots of coverage. What I would say I don’t like is that it’s pretty oversized so you can’t see much, what makes up for this is that you can pretty much fold it anyways you want and I like the string attachment that is removable and adjustable so it won’t fly off with the wind. My face hasn’t been that prone to sun damage since I’ve been wearing it and I will buy another style next time.

The large brim protects my neck and my whole face, I love. Good material, not too thick, not thin, just perfect for hot summers. I washed it many times and the color has not faded. I place it in a laundry mesh bag and hang it to dry though.

Took on my trip to Asia. Material was just too hot to wear. But I’ll keep it, since I live in cooler weather and it has a good brim depth for sun protection.

This hat is fantastic -- everything I was looking for: it has a wide enough brim to protect the face and neck from the glare of the sun; adjustable edge all around the brim that you can quickly re-shape whenever needed; plus an adjustable chinstrap to keep the hat from being blown away on a windy day. The fabric is of substantial enough thickness so the hat is not flimsy, and yet it can easily fold up to be carried in a backpack. I chose the navy color and I love it.

This product states it is 100 percent cotton, but it is on percent cotton.
