Q: What's the difference between 3m molding tape and 3m attachment tape?

The molding tape is thicker so if you are concerned with something like body side molding sitting flush with no gaps, I would use the attachment tape.

Q: Is this work for rain gaurd installation

Yes I used this for the rain guard on the driver side of my 2002 GMC Sonoma.

Q: I am considering using this to apply an emblem on a car. Is there a way to get this off if I grow tired of the emblem?

This is considered a permanent adhesive. If you need to remove, heat up the area adhered by the tape using a heat gun or hair dryer. Use dental floss or fishing line to break the bond between the two surfaces and detach the bonded item. Then, use Adhesive Remover to saturate the adhesive residue so that it is easier to clean. Alternatively, you can use a 3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel to remove adhesive residue without damaging paint.

Q: It says exterior... Could it be used in the interior...? Is there a odor..?

I've only used it on exterior and have not smelled any odor in my garage. I don't see why it couldn't be used on the interior - just remember that depending on the trim you want to mount, it may not lie exactly flat as the tape has some width.
