Nice conservation stories
This is an excellent book, it's original and first hand account of some of the indian animal species is breathtaking. The book brings to fore the vital conservation issues in no nonsense way through authentic stories of these species told in honest but witty prose. To a layman it is a must read to understand clearly that humanity is but a part of the overall scheme of things and nothing is subsurvient to it. Excellent read indeed. An eye opener, informative and entertaining at the same time.

Everybody needs to read this book!
In ‘Wild & Wilful’, author Neha Sinha spins a spellbinding narrative around life in the wild and the absolute disregard it is subjected to, the need to draft and enforce conservation policies with wildlife, and not humans, at the centre and the ecosystems where humans and wildlife co-exist in perfect harmony - like the way it is supposed to be.She talks about few of the many wild animals that have borne the brunt of industrialization and paid for it with their lives. Whether it is the elephants who die horrifying deaths while crossing railway tracks or the Great Indian Bustards who get electrocuted by deadly high-tension cables of solar plants in the desert, wildlife has suffered great torture at the hands of humanity. This book is a revelation. It will answer questions you never thought of asking and will help you see wildlife in a new light. The author’s unfaltering love for wildlife and sheer disappointment at the inhumane treatment meted out to them is palpable throughout the book. Her writing is so powerful that I often forgot I was reading her words, I felt I was being spoken to. It was extraordinary. If you look at it objectively, this book is a masterclass in writing non-fiction that is vivid and gripping.I had my heart broken many times over during the course of this book. However, that does not stop me from saying that you absolutely MUST read it.

The author speaks for the speechless. Compulsive reading even if you are not a wildlife enthusiast.
A wonderful book written from the heart with empathy and honesty. Punctuated by anecdotes and backed by data and facts, the author knows her subject well and seems to have travelled the wildlife conflict zones across the length and breadth of India to have produced this gem. Its an compelling read even if you are not a wildlife enthusiast. The language is very lucid and at times surrealistically beautiful. Looking forward to more from the author.

Wild Humans, Wilful Animals!
The book highlights the contrasting behavior of humans and wild animals in conflict in India. It is the animals who seem civilised. And ironically humans are the ones that have gone wild!

Confluence of knowledge, observation, love for wildlife combined with refined articulation
Neha helps you discover the wild creatures living in shadows of civilization. Creatures that are beautiful, full of character, resilient yet often struggling to catch the attention of human race on which unfortunately their survival depends. She makes you understand them, their struggles and their context that is so entwined with lives of people their cultures and aspirations. It informs, educates and more importantly helps discover and fall in love with the animals. It changes for example how you look at a butterfly for ever. Neha helps you see the extra ordinary that often is hidden in plain sight. Great read!

Worth reading
This book is not only about animals but also about humans. Different kinds of humans, i) who protects, saves or conserve; ii) who lives in fear; iii) who kills iv) who hide themselves in name of laws and politics and use the loopholes. Each and every chapter of this book gives the thrill to complete it and grab the attention throughout the reading.
