Works great
I used this to replace an old lock on my 09 Silverado tailgate. It attached perfectly, the fitment is one to one. It also registered my key perfectly fine and I’m able to lock/unlock my tailgate perfectly again. For the price, this is a great deal. Will update on durability side I just put this on today.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
Key programs immediately. Installation was a breeze, popped right into place. UNFORTUNATELY, I had to do multiple re-installs in an attempt to make it functional. I had to modify the lever to properly lock the tailgate handle. Yet it still fails with a forceful pull. Very disappointed.

Excellent product, and easy to use. LOVE THE FACT it uses the same key as my ignition.
Does what you want. Easy to install, quick to key for your car. NOTE - you need to make sure that you have the correct handle to make this work. I needed to buy a new latch, which was fine. But if you did not have a lock before, you might need to change your handle/latch as well. This WAS NOT the fault of their product. It was my not fully researching this before I bought the lock. But hey - their product did exactly what it was supposed to do, and I needed to spend about $30 more to by a latch to lock my truck. So in the end, I spent $40 and was happy with the results.

Uses factory key, I took a chance and bought Amazon used return but guaranteed for less than half price. Open box but had not been assigned key. Great price and fits my factory key
