Good choice to allow ventilation without going to a catheter
I'm into my third box and probably will continue to use MDP.My Nephrologist strongly recommends that I drink plenty of water. During the day, the Medtronic nerve stimulator controls drips and leaks most of the time, however, once a surge starts, a series of surges follow and I need protection. I have to wear a shield or guard at the office or other event where I may not have control to socially excuse myself quickly enough.Wearing thicker protection every day, especially when I have had an accident or two, leads to jock itch. Even if there hasn't been any leaking, things get hot and irritable. Wearing MDP allows the area to air out, much like sleeping in the buff. I sleep better this way, the area heals nicely, and my wife knows that there doesn't have to be anything in the way if she doesn't want it to be.Occasionally I am awakened for a walk to the loo. You can take the MDP off without turning on a light, and put it back on afterward without the light. If the flow beats you out of the gate--throw it out. One MDP is cheaper than a shield. The only problem now is that you have to decide whether you use a fresh MDP, or pick a pair of underwear to glue the shield to. (I'm sure the manufacturers would like me to mention that the MDP come in an even larger box which is more economical per unit. I have no tie to the manufacturer or distributor.)YMMV. I wore out my first Medtronic Neurostim and I am adjusting my new Medtronic Neurostim. I have faith in it but it isn't a 100% fix. I'm taking 2 drugs to help the situation. Stopped taking the pills and was fine for 2 weeks when I had to sneak out of my office cuz I looked like one of my 5-year old pictures. Taking the drugs and I don't surge after a week. Right now I wear a shield all day and carry a spare. Rarely have a problem. If I don't wear some absorption at night, I'm likely to have some leakage. If I wear a MDP, it is rarely moist in the morning, is easy to put on, feels like nothing, stays on, and is inexpensive. There is a vinyl covered cup that I saw on the market. I tried it for a few months until I couldn't get it. It's held on with a rubber band and a vinyl tutu. It worked about as well as MDP. It's more expensive per unit.I think you should get a package of them and a package of MDP. Some really liked them. The complaint that it is to big and it is too small is made against both. It;s too hard to get on is against both. Won't stay on---you know. I like MDP.

Product does not work as described
Unfortunately one size does not work for all. I found them not remaining in place with light to moderate exercise so they were very unreliable for any protection. Also, once dislodged it couldn't be refitted so it was a wasted item. Concept maybe good but reliable function was not. I am returning them ASAP and will try a different type of absorbance pad.

Decent product, more comfortable than pads but not perfect and has gotten expensive
After radical prostatectomy from prostate cancer, I used diapers, then went to pads, then found this product. I was initially really happy with the idea of not having to have a lot of bulk in my underwear. Product works when it stays on. Unfortunately it doesn't always stay on and will slip off after climbing stairs, bending over to pick something up, or shifting in your seat, or any other activity that's going to rub it off. The velcro straps do a decent job, but they don't always work. Unless you are constantly walking around with an erection, this will slip off sometime during the day.I've usually gotten 29 0 packs at a time, because they are often unavailable when you need them most.Unfortunately this last time, they were again unavailable. However after checking back a few days later, I see that they are available, but the price went from $55 approximately, to almost $70. That's not sustainable. I realize the price of everything is going up, but these are a kind of necessity for those of us who've had to deal with a prostatectomy and subsequent bladder leakage issues. But at the current price, it is not affordable anymore, especially when it is not the perfect product.Works well when it stays on, and sometimes I need two a day, but in this economy I'm not paying their asking price.

Does the job!
I really like this product. One of the best products I have found after going through a Prosectomy and then radiation. I suffer from severe stress incontinence so working out, and playing sports were very problematic. When putting on wrap, make sure the second band is wrapped tightly around. This will prevent it from slipping off during use. I have never had one slip off as described under other reviews. I also put a second one on over the first one when ever playing sports or be overly active. Make sure you wrap the bands tightly around when putting the first and second one on and you shouldn't have a problems with them falling off or leaking. They do not hold a lot of urine, but the tightness of the bands places pressure on the urethra and helps limit the leakage. Sometimes when I am not close to a bathroom, like when I am golfing, I will add another product over top of the double wrap described above, for extra protection called "Male Urine Guard by JMP", which is also sold on Amazon. Hope the review helps, since it is a frustrating problem.

Expensive but great product
The only reason I'm doing 4 starts is because of the price. They are so expensive! I'm confused about some of the other reviews. I am larger then average, and I have never had an issue fitting into these.. they literally have elastic at the top to stretch.... I have had them fall off when wearing boxers, but if you Velcro the strap tight enough it will not fall off. They definitely do not hold a lot of urine but it's enough for me because I just have mild drip age. Overall I recommend them for light- moderate dripping.
