It’s multi purpose
I actually use these chopsticks more for eating chips and Doritos out of the bag than for eating Chinese food. They’re a good set to have at the bottom of your purse, and you can really wow your dining companions when you pull these out at the table. Nice presentation with the box.

Very pleased with these Japanese-style hashi (箸)
Very pleased with these Japanese-style hashi (箸). They are very well made. The tips are slightly textured in order to provide a better grip on slippery foods. The dragonfly (tombo) design is elegant and very traditional.The box is decorated with a matching tombo design. I have used them to eat rice, fish, and noodles with ease.DO NOT wash these in a mechanical dishwasher. First, they can easily fall through the silverware basket and end up in an inaccessible spot at the bottom of the dishwasher...possibly even on the drying elements, which would be the end of your hashi. They are also made of lacquered wood, and it doesn't stand up well to harsh detergents.Simply wash the ends with a few drops of liquid dish soap, rinse well, and air-dry.
