The product description is a bit misleading. The pull-up bar doesn't use the door "frame" to support the bar, it uses the moulding on the door frame. If your moulding isn't installed to support your weight (and it probably isn't) it will pull the moulding off the wall and you'll fall to the ground. This is exactly what happened to me. You can test this by trying to use the bar on a door/entryway that doesn't have moulding (a number doors in my house don't have moulding). The bar will slide off the wall unsupported and is completely useless. I'll need to modify the bar so that it will work in my door frames which defeats the purpose of having an easily installed bar that I can remove. I'll probably end up using some large screw to screw it through the support bar into my wall, but I was hoping to not have to do that.

My review is little late but still applies since I would like to appraise the seller for their excellent customer service. I purchased the door-way pull-up bar while back and noted that the assembly was little more difficult than expected since the screw holes did not align properly for some of the pieces. I was still able to complete the assembly with little extra force and the unit still usable. I wrote the vendor an email with my complain / dissatisfaction / and something they they could improve while quality check in their manufacturing facility. I received a prompt reply and full refund for my troubles even though I had informed them that I would just keep the unit since it is still functional on my initial email.Now about 2.5 years later, the pull-up bar is still work well.I wish the best for this vendor and continue to improve the product.Thank you,

This was a great buy. For the price, it surpassed my expectations. It was easy to assemble (even for someone like me who is somewhat engineering challenged). It's durable and easy to put above the door frame and take down. It supports my weight and is sturdy. Definitely worth the price. The company was great too. They followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied with their product. It's not often online retailers provide that quality of customer care.

The bonus jump rope is better quality than I expected. I'm enjoying sport-it products because they are easy to assemble and strong. I have purchased these types of pull-up bars previously and after time and heavy use the foam protection around the bar has ripped. So instead of a bonus rope I would have preferred extra padding because I'm skeptical of how long this padding will last. It is on the thin side (as you can see from the pics) but it feels strong. I max out at 130 pounds when I'm on gains so if it were to rip soon, I'll definitely remember to update if/when the cushion rips.Since this came unassembled I had to figure out how to put it together and realized it was easy and quick so I'm using it as my little travel gym along with other items that fit in my travel bag. But taking it apart for this I realized it is not the greatest idea with this item because it is hard to undo once you tighten very hard. And undoing if often may loosen it. Next time I'l pack around if I want to take it with me because although it does not fit well in my LV carryon, I expect it is a perfect fit with my Tumi carryon.I received this product heavily discounted in exchange for my honest review. The bar arrived without incident in a timely manner. Assembly was a piece of cake. The video was great. I only assembled it about 3 days ago but it works fine and am happy I purchased it. Thanks. The media could not be loaded.  My husband and I love this and how simple it is to use then put away out of the doorway. It is great and can be used for many different exercises. My hubby used it and I took some pictures to show you all how awesome and handy this really is. It is rare for me to find an at home piece of exercise equipment that I truly love and this is one that we both really love. It was confusing for a second as to how to properly place this above our door frame and at first we thought we were going to break it (we did not.. ha!) Once we got the metal piece wedged into the door frame it was good to go and has not budged. It is amazing how that little piece of metal can work as a wedge type to keep the pull up bar in place, but it does! We have really enjoyed this and will continue using it as often as we like because it is awesome and easy to do. Quick and simply to put together and works great!I had an issue where the foam pieces weren't covering the part of the bar that pushes up against our door frame, and so it was denting our door frame. I emailed the company for help, got an almost instant reply and a solution that fixed the problem - simply slide the end pieces of foam into the position where you need them. It takes a bit of muscling but is totally do-able.Great service and a great product for the money!

I bought this Pull Up bar last month ago and it's fantastic. I weigh 195 lbs and have been using it pretty much everyday since it arrived. I’ll say right now that it’s held up really, really well; no loose parts, nothing bent or broken, grips holding up just fine, door frame unscathed. It's great that i can use it for other exercises aside from pull-ups and their site is fantastic. Once I'm done I always take the bar down and store it in closet when No problems there.All things considered (price, quality, assembly, instructions, extras), you can’t go wrong with this package. Great bang for your buck, great value.
