API FURAN-2 Fish Powder Medication 10-Count Box (70P)

Prior to starting the API Furan-2 treatment on my new betta, he had a severe case of fin rot, as seen in the first picture which was his worst condition. I first treated him with aquarium salt, which I found had no visible effect. Next, I used two other medications. I noticed that these two treatments stopped the progression of the disease. However, my fish was not growing his fins back. His tank conditions were optimal, his water tested perfectly, and I was performing regular water changes.I then decided to treat with Furan-2, and after the four days of treatment, I did a 50% water change. It has been 3 days since I finished the course of treatment and I have seen more improvement in my fish in these few days than I saw out of the past 3 weeks. You can see the growth that is occurring on the outer edge of his fins and how he is overall more healthy.I am extremely satisfied with this product and I think that it has worked wonders on my betta!

My senior betta managed to get his fins sucked into the back slots of the filter (he would sleep there sometimes, despite the fact that he has a 20 gallon filled with live plants and betta leaf hammocks made from IAL). I woke up and 90% of his dorsal fin was GONE.The next day, his fin was deteriorating to the point where it was red, thready, and close to turning into body rot. My betta could no longer swim well, and was very lethargic and not eating much. I was convinced he was dying.I ordered this medication as a last ditch effort to save him. I dosed the medication and went to bed. The next day, he was perkier, his fin looked like there was a little new growth forming, and he was eating again. I was in disbelief. I did 2 rounds of treatment, and he recovered fully.My plants were fine the first round of treatment, but by the 2nd round, I lost about 50% of them at least. Although they also had less light and were nutrient deprived of nitrogen, potassium, and some other essential nutrients that contributed to their demise. It is hard to say had the plants had proper light and ferts if they would have succumbed to it.My crypts, dwarf lily, rotala sp, sagittaria, and dwarf water lettuce all bounced back after adding Thrive ferts. My anubias was unaffected. My salvinia all died, along with my wisteria, bolbitis, aponogeton bulbs, and a couple others. Most likely though, they died mainly from lack of light and nutrients as well.Snails (pond, ramshorn, malaysian trumpets) were unaffected by it.Overall, highly recommend giving this medication a shot to treat fin rot.

It really cleared up the bacterial infection my fish got out of nowhere. Four doses in my 125 gallon saltwater tank and it cleaned them right up! I also had to treat for ich with a separate product but this one did what it says! Only thing is is does make the water really yellow and it took a week with my carbon reactor to really clean up the discoloration but other than that it worked great!!! I highly recommend it to treat what it says on the box.

Not sure what happened but one day, the betta just got sleepy and the fin rot progressed pretty fast. I really thought he was a goner. I tried to curb it with Melafix and/or the blue Ick cure or Methylene Blue but I should have save time and money and went for this broad spectrum cure all. After a week of treatment, he was back on the mend and growing back his fins happily in and out of his Sponge Bob house. My only issue is that I had a 2.5 gallon tank and the dosage should have been less than half the tablet daily. After 3 days of that with no improvement, I decided to risk one full tab a day which finally worked. Not sure what happened there despite following the instructions (carbon removal, clean water to start, etc etc ).Not as expensive as some of the other stuff but still wished it was a little bit more reasonable in price. I guess reasonable depends on your view if you're trying to save a fish that is worth more than the med or not.

My little guy Prince was suffering from swim bladder disease... After fasting and salt treatments didn't work I ordered Furan-2 hoping it will relieve his distress. He has been floating on his side and having major difficulty swimming.. His buoyancy was completely off. . After some research on SBD, I learned that he may possibly have a bacterial infection that would need AB.. I am so please to say that with just the initial dose of this product, my princey poo is back to swimming and exploring his tank... He greeted me in the morning like he usually did before he became ill. I am very pleased and I will add this to my fish first aid kit to always have on hand. . I'm positive after this treatment my little guy will be completely healed..

My fish was sick, barely moving and had a bacterial infection by its lip, it started bleeding when i went to clean the tank. As a terrfied teenage, i searched all over what was wrong with him. I was honestly scared to try out the product, because i have never relied on internet reviews, since most are bots. I gave my fish one packet every day, and within 2 weeks, my fish was back to normal! I'm always iffy about just buying products without thorough reasearch, but my King Betta was very ill so i jumped and found this product. It tinted the water green, but unlike the direction i kept him in the tank without cleaning out the other antibacterial packet, and it heped a lot. I dont know if that was correct of me, but it helped my fish recover much betetr! My fish is healthy and better than ever, He keeps looking at me now :)

I have a 5 gallon tank. What I didn't realize was these packets are made for 10 gallon tanks. I had to play a little fast and loose with the measurements because of that, splitting the packets in half to follow the instructions. It wasn't the end of the world, and my fishies are fine. It was still rather inconvenient.

Got this recently for the pop eye of my flowerhorn parrot as well for the fungus affected fin of one of my discuss. Followed the treatment instructions given over it & both the fishes recovered now. So, highly recommended.
