Keep your turbo warm when it's cold outside!
An extremely well made product from what I can tell, a lot thicker than I thought it would be and what appears to be very thick high quality stitching. The wire is quite stiff and appears to be SS. I have been using and been a fan of DEIs products for a lot of years and use several of their other heat managewment items currently in the application this was to go into (Volvo P2 S60 2.3 T5). Here's the thing, I replacing the stock 16T with a 19T and it simply doesnt fit. The GT22 shield is just too big to really fit at all on the TD04HL hot side. Unfortunately, this is the smallest unit they make, so Im outta luck for a blanket. I just don't see another brand i 1) feel good about 2) believe won't burn my car to the ground or 3) just fall apart in a few months. Not the end of the world, the hot side is already swaincoated, this was going to be a hat on a hat, I knew that, but more heat reduction in the bay is always a good thing. So why give it 5 stars? Well, it is clearly very well made (bums me out i can't use it), and it's not DEIs fault it doesn't fit, the TD04 hot side is just too wimpy for the GT22 shield. I have used their blanket on a t3/04b and it fit great, so it's not a design issue. Bummer for me, but for those that have a hot side that this fits, I would go so far as to say it's worth every penny. I use their Ti wrap and its great, buit that's another review. FYI, while yes, sure, you can take it off if you need to service the turbo, but be aware, that once you start heat cycling this thing, it gets brittle, not a flaw, thats just the way the material is, so plan ahead and slap this puppy on when you are done with all the fiddly bits so you don;t have to go taking it off after install (and full temp cycling). Take all of this as you will, it's just my 2 bits.

Works great. Reduced underhood temps instantly
Works great. Reduced underhood temps instantly. I've also noticed better engine coolant temps as my turbo's smashed up next to my block.Max heat off the cover so far tends to be around 200(F) degree's. Turbo's around 600-800(F).IT WORKS...One thing I'd recommend if possible is to remove the turbo before install. I had originally placed mine on while the turbo was mounted on the ex manifold... This caused some issues when trying to strap it down. It might be a lot of work but will definitely pay off as you can ensure proper placement and snug it on better.

excellent product and very good asthetics
first let me get the only negative thing out of the way, they do not include any kind of fastening spring or wire to attach this unit to the turbo. I used a stainless steel wire to tightly fasten the 3 points on the shield. besides that this thing looks great and fits good, very good buy. i am just finishing building motor and have not seen differences in turbo spool or heat shielding from bay, but im sure i will appreciate what it does.

Does what it's made for temporarily...
The only turbo blanket that has legitimately lowered my engine bay temps, it doesn't burn up easy and looks great on my turbo, worth the price 😃Edit: it's been a couple months now with this turbo blanket, it's definitely held up a lot better than the off brand turbo blankets but it's still junk... Was working on my turbo and part of the blanket straight disintegrated and got fiber glass everywhere. Seems like no turbo blanket is really worth the money in the end... Straight junk.

Very good turbo blanket
Turbo blanket will fit smaller sized turbos. It is soft and pliable when new but after a dozen heat cycles it will harden. The material is thick and traps heat very well. The wrapping is soft and pliable when new and does not need to be moistened before application like typical fiberglass type wrappings. This kit is a great bang for the buck.
