Completely random current draws
I've ordered several of these solenoids from Uxcell - the first was exactly as promised, drawing close to the 800 mA expected. The other two, however, were one that was supposed to only draw 300 mA and then another that was to draw 800 mA, both at 6v. Both of these ended up drawing on the order of more than 1 amp for the 300 mA and 2.5 A for the second 800 mA one. This is despite a plastic label on both that claims the lower current draws. As both of these were supposed to be powered off some small batteries, such current draws are unusable, something I found out after the return period.

You should be technical and knowledgable to design a cutoff circuit for this item.
Strong item for a 6-volt solenoid. If know the angle of installation to achieve the best performance.If 12-volt used a cutoff circuit (up to 5 secs) it is 7 times stronger than a 2.1-kilogram 12V solenoid. It cannot be inline (12V) continuously.

Spec state 6V and 0.8A. Even with 12V this solenoid refuses to actuate. Got a replacement just to make sure it wasn't one bad component, only to find the same issue
