Great set, great value
The media could not be loaded. Love it. A great introduction to gong fu tea drinking. Enough kit to compare teas back-to-back. I’m hooked!

A great starter Tea Set....
I did get a fantastic deal on this tea set. I paid a little less then $40.00. The Giwan was broken and I contacted the original seller. They could not help me because it was a previous return to Amazon. I could return the entire set to Amazon, but It was a large set and would not be replaced for the price that I paid. I have decided to just keep the rest of the set because the tea tray alone was worth the discount price. The tea wear is very thin. That being said it came with a lot of stuff. I was surprised that even the Buddah was included(cute). He changed colors when hot water was poured over him. It was worth be keeping this giant set and the other undamaged pieces. The original seller responded very quickly so if you were to have an issue and paid the full price I have confidence that they would be very helpful. They did offer to send me another if I paid for it. I as they didn't make any money on this transaction.

Flaws, but usable with some work put in if you're willing
I really only wanted the tea tray, you can only get this tea tray with the whole schebang unfortunately, and by gosh is that truly unfortunate because the tea set is horrendous. If it were just the tray I'd give 5 stars, but the tea set knocks it down.So let's break it down to what's good, what's bad, and what I personally use of it.What's good: the tea tray is fine enough, be careful with it it's feels breakable and can fray edges if you mess with it so DON'T MESS WITH IT. Big sell point of the tray is that it comes with the cup rack. I about flipped my $#*% when the tray was flat, but lo and behold the teacup rack is reversable for a flat side incase you need more space on a tray and that actually came in handy during ceremony. The tray is only "laquered(?)" As well as painted On top besides the reversable tea cup rack part, so if you want it to last you may want to fully laquer the thing (and fill in missing paint). No problems with my reservoir tray thankfully, with as cheap most are made that's usually hit or miss but mine was fine. What's bad: there's a reason there are no closeup pics of the tea set... it looks cheap as dirt. I had to test to see if it was PLASTIC but I'm still not sure it's yixing clay either and no one can convince me it actually is yixing clay. Also highly breakable, I oblitetated the strainer setting it on the floor... carpeted floor... thankfully I didn't need it and it was one of the worse looking items in the set so that wasn't a loss. Some things are ok to use though, like the pitcher, sniffcups, and some of the odd bits included. Check the paint/glaze bc mine had some chips and you don't want to drink that. Those little tea server trays? Plastic. Yeah, they're not wood. Not bad if you were expecting plastic, all I've had are wood and they looked just like them so it was only slightly dissapointedly unexpected. The tea pets? The pee guys are ok, not my type, but they work. The buddha is a lightweight plastic resin thing. I wasn't expecting jade, but if you thought it looked jade and saw the price of the set don't fool yourself. The tea brush? Shed constantly and it was horrible. I ripped out the hairs, stained the wood, then replaced the brush hairs with an unused shaving brush head's. The other tea tools suck.Ok, so what do I use? I'm a guy that fixes things up so I can get use even out of junk. I use, the tea tray, the teasniff cups. The tea tools holder, but with my own tea tools bc theirs suck. Already told ya'll about the tea brush and what I did to it. The saucers, there's this weird thing that looks like a victorian egg holder that I use to hold my teapot lid. The tea canister for traveling with tea (which also can hold both a teacup and sniffcup), this tea cannister is also not airtight, nor does it hold any sample teas, that's fine for me as I just wrote how I personally use it, but if you were expecting more from that cannistor it is just an empty red can. The rest is just backup, like the pitcher, the large cup thing that is NOT a pitcher, the tea cups with fish are cute for kid company, and then I store all that in the water waste bowl it gives you. I already built my own trusty tea sets so this one wasn't needed, (all I needed was the tea tray) but I'll still make use out of what can be useful to me. Also great to have the cheap set for more rambunctious hyper guests while the big boys use my nicer cups. That's one good thing about the set is that even though it is highly thin and breakable, it comes with a LOT of spare teacups to make up for it. Haha"Giftable?" Oh my gosh NO! If it were just the tray, yes, but the tea set and tools are embarrassing. I hate people but I don't hate them that much. They'd never believe it was over $70, they'd know I resent them if I gifted them this set."Value for money?" Eh, most trays are pretty pricey, even then this still seems pretty cheaply made. So I could understand $45+ for the tray alone. The tea set is junk though. Not worth that price included."Craftsmanship?" I gave 2 stars "for effort" bc you know some poor soul was forced to make this. Would have more stars there if just the tray alone. The third star is bc I still made some of the tea set work in "spite."
