Not very illuminating
When reading this book you'll realize that basically all the authours have absolutely no idea what to expect when it comes to AI, and they all have the same questions as you. This is kind've concerning. Unfortunately, you'll also probably learn nothing since each entry from the over two dozen authours is only about a page long, so when they repeatedly ask the same questions (the only real difference being if they are cautious about AI research or not cautious) you won't find any sort of real insight or attempt at finding an answer. If you have a real interest in AI I'd recommend getting a book that has the time to actually explore the subject.

The interesting topic and the format
The format of the book, around 30 short opinions of experts in the materia is lovely. You can expect opinions in the full range, from stating AI singularity for sure, to that it's impossible.I just consider this book of one of my bests.

Gutes Thema, gutes Buch!
