YLI Hand Quilting Thread

I usually love YLI for hand quilting and for epp. The color i usually get it an off white. This time i wanted more of a dove grey because i am using some really bright prints in my project. Greys usually blend better than the cream. This thread just feels thinner and not like the “old wooden spool” cream that i get. It frays and knots like crazy.. even using a thread conditioner or without one. I very rarely need to use a conditioner on the cream. I have tried starting from both ends of the cut thread and it does not make a difference. Fraying is not only at the needle eye. You only get maybe twenty pulls through fabric before it starts to fray… in the middle of the thread length.

I only hand quilt and struggled to find good thread, that didn't shred and could thread easily. THIS is it, I will not use any other thread.
