Solid!
First off, just in case the comments I am going to make seem negative, I just want to say that we'd go straight out and buy the same again if we needed one!Bed was for a nine year old, but we decided to get this "adult" scaled bed rather than a flimsier child one. And it is solid - with the plus that should you manage to break a bit of it, it could be replaced by a competent woodworker, as it is all solid wood rather than chipboard and laminate.Criticisms - in theory, simple to assemble, but in practice some of the planks had twisted slightly in the longitudinal axis, meaning a bit of pressure was required to line holes up. OK, we were building it in the small hours of Christmas Eve, but you can't throw it together - go thoughtfully, methodically and at a measured pace. Tighten screws and bolts a little at a time in rotation, rather than one at a time 100%.And there were a couple of screws (from memory, those attaching the extra middle support leg - that you don't put on if you have the trundle bed option rather than the underbed drawers, or nothing) that the instructions said just screw straight into the wood. I'm never happy with that, so drilled pilot holes with an electric drill first. Few minutes extra work, but well worth it.Design is basic rather than inspired - takes a bit of 'dressing' with cushions and throws if you wanted to make it attractive in, say, a living room. Ditto the finish (or lack thereof!) - budget the time for staining and varnishing. Ours has just had one coat of varnish to seal it, but will probably paint it in a year or twoBut, overall, we're happy we made the right choice and would buy again. Just typed this after an entire family bedtime cuddle . . . told you it was solid!

strong
This is the third of these beds we have purchased although the other two were not day beds and didn't have the back rail , They are very sturdy and reasonably easy to put together ,and we really like them , The drawers are large and much better than those on runners which always break . we recommend them heartily and we are extremely pleased with them, I added the foam cushions from our old settee and chairs for back rests and covered it all with a large throw and it looks really good .

DO NOT BUY
Having purchased this day bed for an 8yo child, tonight was only the 2nd time she was due to use it. Whilst getting her settled, the frame snapped (see photos). Thankfully my daughter was not injured but waiting to hear from the supplier about what they intend to do about this.

Sturdy product.
Really needs to get the instructions and parts labelling sorted out because I imagine that the frustration they cause will undoubtedly lead to this great product being scored down.Once you get over the frustration in the assembly, this is a really nice solid piece of furniture which being natural wood lends itself to being finished in keeping with the colour theme of the room.Overall, don't be put off by the instructions, just allow more time when assembling it.

Amazing quality
Wow! Such a great bed. So sturdy, instructions were second to none, better than any furniture i’ve bought before. The finish of the bought product is plain and bare which is perfect for customising but not if you just wanted a finish product. However, with a little bit of effort it’s definitely made a difference. Great price for such good quality. Drawers are quite annoying to put together. Two hands are better than one for sure

Solid soft wood of good manufacture, great value for money
Day bed itself was well packaged with clear instructions and plenty of fittings (had lots of screws and dowels left over). It is bare wood so will need treatment - it took 3 coats of antique pine satin varnish to get a dark enough finish. All holes were drilled and aligned correctly. All types of bolts, screws and dowels required for assembly were present. Drawers are great quality, very large and solid. Easy to assemble ends and drawers. The hardest bit of assembly was pushing the dowels of the back rails into position as the middle rails do not have bolts to help tighten (in the end I trimmed the dowels so that they went further into the post holes and then enlisted help of another person to hold and push post while I pushed rails). Once erected and all tightened it appears to be sturdy, except that the length of the back rails means that they bend in the middle if lent against, so I will probably add an additional vertical support. It is disappointing that the day bed is only sold with one end board, but what I did was make one for the other end and fitted it exactly the same. So product is great - but not matched by the communication from courier who arrived unannounced with no tracking information (despite checking tracking daily, and even after delivery it still said product was at depot) also only 3 of 4 parcels were delivered the first time. Seller was helpful at the second time of contacting (but not the first), and their initial notification by post had grammatical and spelling errors.

Solid, easy, versatile.
Not usually one to leave a review but you deserved one. Good quality wood, instructions clear enough for this numpty to put together on his own and a solid, sturdy piece of furniture at the end.If you’re thinking of getting a kids bed, don’t bother, get one of these with the hand rails, it’ll be a pirate ship day one, spaceship day 2 and by day 3 the little sod may actually sleep in it.

Solid, but a pain to put together
- I had a bolt missing but was able to get hold of a spare from the supplier Free on next day delivery.- The middle support legs were an inch too big and I had to trim them down a touch :(- One of the drawer fronts is a bit wonky- The screws to attach the wheels to the drawer are too big and will end up going through the drawer floor if used. I ended up replacing them with my own supply.+ Good looking cabin bed+ Extremely good value+ Very sturdy
