Fun! Excitement! Happiness! ... for Your Kitties ... and for Y-O-U! ...
Wow! ... It's the beginning of June, 2020 and we're in the throes of a worldwide pandemic, social injustice and upheaval, never-before massive unemployment, etc. ... where can we find some solace and give ourselves some feel-good memories amongst all this strife?Well, I thought I'd treat my two little kitties with a "refresh" of their favorite toy, the "fluttering birdie"!You see, their old one stopped fluttering long ago and I've been searching, waiting, searching, etc. for a not-"crazy-expensive", suitable replacement. Well, my search ... and wait ... are now over!I ordered "Highland Farms Handmade Natural Feather Cat Toy Da Bird Refills — Interactive Cat and Kitten Toy" (6-pack) and it arrived today! My kitties eagerly eyed my mail (as they always do), always wanting to carefully inspect any "new arrival" items that I'm thinking must meet with their approval before being allowed in THEIR house. When the clear cellophane envelope with the awesome (as they turned out to be!) "fluttering birdies" was pulled from the package, their eyes widened in what seemed like joyful astonishment!Wasting no time, the littlest kitty, "Skittles", vociferously insisted on immediately assisting with the opening of the clear cellophane envelope and sticking her small head in there to give the contents a more thorough examination ... first smelling, then tasting ... commencing with a whiskers-rubbing approval of the soon-to-be-fluttering "birdies".And so it was: after a rather exhausting twenty-or-so minutes of jumping, rolling, spinning, diving, dashing, stalking with careful anticipation, and repeatedly "catching" what turned out to be a most magnificent fluttering birdie, both kitties settled down and resumed their vigilant watch of our backyard flora and fauna (the fauna?: many neighborhood cats visit them each morning and evening — as well as an occasional raccoon, skunk, or opossum). Those twenty-or-so minutes of utter joy, fun, and excitement — along with the very good memories they brought for both the kitties and me — and the many, many, many more future "twenty-or-so minutes" of joy, fun, and excitement for all concerned are very much well worth the small price of these high quality "fluttering birdies"! ... with this joy helping to console and even bring a modicum of happiness in our current throes of a worldwide pandemic, social injustice and upheaval, and never-before massive unemployment and the unhappiness all the latter brings to society.I'll post an update soon — and, hopefully, a video! — so you potential buyers can actually experience the joy, fun, excitement and happiness that the "Highland Farms Handmade Natural Feather Cat Toy Da Bird Refills — Interactive Cat and Kitten Toy" can bring not only to your kitties, but to y-o-u!

Greatest Cat Toy Ever!
What can I say about Da-Bird other than this is the most amazing interactive cat toy I have ever owned! I don't even bother with other cat toys anymore. Something about this toy replicates the way birds fly or the noise their feathers make. My cats go bananas for it. I have to keep it locked up in a closet or they will carry it all over the house and chew it to pieces. They come running from all over the house when they hear the closet door open because they know what's in there. True Story: I was being vetted by a pet owner who wanted to give up her two grown cats (9 years old) for adoption. She had no choice but to part with them and was very upset and reluctant to let them go to just anyone. She had already rejected 10 other applicants by the time I applied. When I went to visit with the two "cat boys" I brought this toy along. They played with me for 2 hours even though they didn't know me. She was astounded. She said the cats didn't even stay in the room 10 minutes with the other applicants and she had never seen them play like that before. She was thrilled. I told her I couldn't take credit it was the toy but she was still so pleased that I ended up getting my two new lovable babies from her and they still absolutely adore this toy. It does take a beating and you have to replace the feather attachments from time to time but I find even off-brand attachments do well and hold their interest. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to entertain their cats.

Just as good as "Da Bird" if not better
This is my son. He is a man of taste, a man of dignity. He knows when we have purchased him the quality cat products he deserves and when we have selected a cheaper alternative. It was no surprise when he fell in love with Da Bird feather wands, which immitate real flying birds and cost at least $10 a replacement head.I took a chance on buying these because they looked similar and had good reviews. They were even better than I expected! The construction is sturdy, the spin is accurate, my boy gets at least three weeks of play out of each replacement before they are destroyed. I am eternally grateful this cheaper knockoff has fooled my fancy prince so I can afford to supply him with other cat luxuries.

cats go nutz over this feather toy
If there is one thing my cats have a ball with, it's these feathers. They fly thru the air and omit a soft sound, especially when flown fast. Other feather toys are wimpy, no fun at all. This is fun for me and for my kids. The only think I didn't like is the bell that is attached, because it gives it weight and more speeed, . There is no way of removing the bell, other than to actually cut it off. I used my wire cutter for this. Now I am happy and so are my cats. I have 5 and 3 out of five are nutz about this. My other two prefer soft toys and fuzzy balls.

My cat is nuts for these specific toys.
My cat is a rambunctious player but he is on again and off again with feather toys. Not these. I got a large assortment of "name brand" toys and he barely looks at some of them, but as soon as I put one of these on the rod he is back to somersaulting. That said, he is almost concerningly obsessed with these. He'll hold them in his mouth for long minutes at a time crying, the same way he does when he catches a mouse. They must smell fresher and more like a real bird. Hopefully these are ethically sourced.
