The filter is simply awesome! It cuts off undesired reflecion over the surface of water and it enhances a lot the blue of the sky, sometime resulting in a very deep-blue sky with very well-defined and sharp clouds. I have used it a lot with the lens Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM on my Canon EOS 80D, and it helped me in saving several shots in low-contrast condition during my trips. In some cases, it was astonishing how a "white" sky resulted in a very clear blue sky. It helps also in eliminating reflection from leaves and windows and completely cuts off the ligth emitted from LCD screens. It has a very good build quality and the double-threaded ring allow your filters to be stacked. I have used it in combination with URTH filters, resulting in really nice images with low vignetting (depending on the angle of view that you are using). The only thing I can complain about is that the mounting and the removing of the filter can be challening in some situation due to the very slim rim and the presence of rotating element. Anyway, product fully recommended.

This ND filter kit arrives well packaged in an Urth branded, environmentally friendly circular box. The presentation is excellent and would be more than suitable should you be wishing to give this kit as a gift.This kit itself contains five ND (Neutral Density) filters. ND filters are designed to reduce the amount of light through the lens. This allows you to do things like achieving a shallower depth of field in bright sunshine and harsh lighting conditions without causing the image to be overexposed. Or allowing you to slow your shutter speed to capture silky smooth, almost dream like shots of moving water (such as waterfalls, or waves crashing over rocks).The filters included in this kit are an ND2 filter (which is the equivalent of 1 stop less of light), ND4 (equivalent to 2 stops), ND8 (equivalent to 3 stops), ND64 (equivalent to 6 stops) and ND1000 (equivalent to 10 stops). This is a nice selection of ND filters to have, and allows for a wide range of possible uses. And due to the way they are designed, you can even screw 2 or more together, should you need to.In use the filters worked really well. I noticed no difference to image quality, nor was there any colour shift that I saw. The filters themselves are well made, feel quite sturdy, and screwed on and off my camera (and each other) without any issues. They have a slim rim, which avoids vignetting, even if you stack them.Urth, back when they were called Gobe, always had a good reputation for relatively cheap, but good quality filters. And now they are renamed Urth, it looks like they are continuing that trend with the filters in this kit.In conclusion, I’ve been really impressed by this kit. From the initial presentation, to the build quality, to the quality of the optics themselves. And given their quality, the price is exceptionally good too. Very good quality would buy again, minimal cast on the darker ones and no colour cast on the weaker ones, didnt effect picture quality at all unlike the cheaper ND filters available

When these arrived the box rattled and I was worried.The set of 5 neutral density (ND) filters (67mm filter thread) arrives all screwed together in a column, except that one had clearly come unscrewed at some point. The metal rim had been banging against the glass on the other 3 for their entire journey to me. And yet, there isn't a scratch nor crack to be seen. Solid. That gives me confidence out in the field.In terms of optical performance they're pretty good. No noticable colour cast. They have a shallow rim to avoid vignetting, albeit the widest I tend to shoot is 20mm (full frame). You can stack them if you want (but why would you when you have the set), or combine with another filter like a UV filter.The big advantages I'm noticing over my variable ND I have is (i) certainty of filter density and (ii) no X patterning that is (only rarely) noticeable.Generally very happy with the quality of these esoecially when compared to more expensive brands. And they plant a tree for every product sold.

This set would make a wonderful gift, you could sent this straight form amazon as the packaging is lovely firm, sealed box which is perfect for storing the lenses in.Fantastic value for money, photographers know the kit isn't cheap, this set is very reasonably priced yrt the quality of workmanship and materials used all the way through to the presntation with the box they arrive in give's the impression of a much higher rrp.Very easy to use and the effects are amazing, the manufacturers are very confident as they offer a life time warranty which is a added bonus.These are a wonderful investment whetehr your just starting off or are a pro you wont regret purchasing from the urth brand.
