Excellent portable foot rest for short adults
When I saw this I knew it is what I have been needing for a long time. It folds up small enough to fit into a purse. It feels nice and sturdy. I love that it comes with a carry case. That way if it does get dirty I can slip into the case and still put into my purse. I believe the carry case is washable. So many other so called portable footrests do not fold very small. This is a folds to a nice compact 6"x6" square.Seats and chairs are just not made for short people. I am 4'11" and suffer from neck and back pain. My doctor recommended a portable footrest to take wherever I go. I have foot rests at home for every chair I sit in. I made a footrest for my car passenger seat out of a cardboard box and duct tape, which works but it is not very portable or good looking.

Useful for swollen legs!!!
Bought this because my legs swell really bad when sitting for long periods of time! This is so compact, discrete and easy to use! Lightweight and small yet sturdy! No more blowing up a wobbly footrest and drawing attention to myself! 12 out of10for me ! The only drawback is it can’t go higher or lower but meets my basic needs.

Highly Recommended! Can't say enough great things about it!
This is one of the greatest ideas ever! We use it everyday since we got it. I keep it in my infan't diaper bag, so it's always at the ready when my two year old needs it. With an 8 month old in my arms it becomes such an issue when my son needs to use the restroom while we are out. Between the toilets themself and the sinks, I was was having to be boarderline acrobatic to assist him or if I was lucky I could buckle my daughter into a changing station within reach. Once she became more mobile and wiggly, there was no way I felt safe doing that anymore. So I went in search of the solution. This is a solid product, not in the least bit flimsy or inexpensively made. It's worth the price being asked. I will be able to use mine for years, as when my sons outgrows it, then my daughter will be big enough to use it. Some people mention it can tip over easily; I understand that perspective, but this is perfectly fit for the use intended: under Mommy or Daddy's guiding hand in the public restroom stall or at the sink, then quickly folded up and tucked away. Oh and that's reminds me, it opens in less than 5 seconds. Which all of us know is of the utmost importance when a pee-pee dancing toddler is being rushed to the potty.I can't wait to tell the jealous onlookers about the product! You will not regret purchasing it!

Using it as a footrest on long haul flights
I purchased this in anticipation of a long haul 15+ hour plane ride since my feet doesn't always touch the ground the long ride really makes my knees ache. I usually rest my socked feet on my carry-on bag that's tucked under the seat in front of me. But the uneven surface is not really ideal. I received it today and tested it out immediately. First thoughts are its small and heavier than it looks, which bodes well for the sturdiness. The cover/sack is flimsy but it get the job done. Setting it up was intuitive and took all of 3 seconds. I'm only 5' 0" and I wish the surface was wider so my legs/feet can really stretch but this should still work for my purposes. I should perform a stress test and probably write about the results after my upcoming travels. The bottom line is I like this product. I like that it folds in half after disassembling so it takes up little to no room in my luggage as opposed to the other foot rest. All the others just collapses the legs which are great options until I came along...

Great for potty-training boys!
Once my son learned to pee standing up, he refused to go any other way, posing a big problem for going to the bathroom when we're away from home and his step stool. This stool has been an absolute life-saver. It folds up to the size of a small paperback book (though slightly heavier) and comes in a little pouch, which is great for transport and keeping the diaper bag clean. I put a small travel pack of disinfectant wipes in the case and just wipe it down after each use. This stool has enabled my son (2.5) to use all public toilets and most sinks. The only drawbacks are that you need to be careful when unfolding it, because it's easy to pinch your fingers in the gaps and that you need to help your child step up on it (evenly, right in the center), as it can be a bit tippy if you're not centered, unlike the sturdier stool we have at home. I wouldn't knock a star off for these, though, because this stool is SO convenient! Very easy to fit into a diaper bag or purse.

Broke on Day Two
Broke on day two! Bought this for the kids to take on trips for hotels. We didn’t even make it through the first trip because the locking mechanism broke. It is lightweight, small, and comes with a nice bag, but it is definitely not worth $32. It says it has a 50lb rating but that was not the case for us.

This a good product. As others said
This a good product. As others said, closing it is a bit tricky but once you figure it out, it's a snap. The key is to close both sides at the same time. I was originally very cautious and scared about getting pinched because of the reviews, but once I learned to close it, I don't see how anyone can get hurt on on it.I bought this because I thought my 3 year old would need it on the 8 hour plane and on our vacation. We only used it in the hotels and not when we were out and about as originally planned. It was simply easier to just lift him up than to go digging through our backpacks. But it is nice and compact for travel and inexpensive. It is also pretty stable (at least for my small 3 year old who is 30 lbs or so, but has small feet and build for his age). If a bigger/older child tried to use it, it may be too narrow, possibily causing some instability. Overall, good product and functions exactly as described and intended purpose, but i don't know whether it's absolutely necessary.
