Brand Matters. Great features for a small switch.
This is a really great switch. We have started adding POE devices to our network and wanted a POE switch that would support anything we wanted to do.As switches are getting smarter and smarter it is very important for us to have a brand that we trust from a company we know will take our security seriously. There are lots of smart switches with similar specs but I'm not willing to have a pivotal part of our network be from a company that we don't know and we can't be sure they will offer support or that we will be able to trust they will keep our network safe. Cisco is certainly one of the most trusted brands for network hardware there is.We have this and a couple of other Cisco products and I did find it challenging to get concise information about how best to configure our network or even how to compare the features of the switches. I have to say we have this and a very similar CBS250 and I am still confused about any of the differences between the models and how they might affect how I use them. I tried asking their pre-sales support but as soon as they heard I had a home business and that we purchased from Amazon they immediately cut off the conversation. I am a little torn on how to rate Cisco's support as they are really amazing at responding to issues especially ones that are causing issues but I'm not really sure how to get more general assistance that would normally be provided through their reseller and installer networks when purchasing from Amazon. For those reasons, while I'm a huge fan of their products, I can't say that they are the best choice if you don't know exactly what you are looking for.One flip side to the fact that their focus is more towards network professionals is that fact that they advertise this as an 8 port switch when it in fact has 10 ethernet ports. This is one of those rare times you can actually buy an 8 Port switch and use it to connect 8 devices leaving two for connecting to the rest of your network. Most consumer-focused companies would call this a 13+ port including everywhere you could plug something in.Overall very happy with the "Cisco Business CBS350-8P-E-2G Managed Switch, 8 Port GE, PoE, Ext PS, 2x1G Combo, Limited Lifetime Protection (CBS350-8P-E-2G-NA)". I do wish they had a support structure for customers purchasing online to get information that would normally be provided through service providers.

No Network
Tried all ports, but all of them shows cable unplugged or disconnected sign. Wastage of time and energy trying this product.

Works well so far
We only just connected it to 3 PTZ cameras and its joystick controller. Works as it should. Powers all the items as promised, though it did take a few more minutes than expected. One of our IT people had to set up the IP addresses so the joystick could control the cameras, but that was what I expected. Our IT person said, "Ooh, that's a nice one."
