Essential for solo travel; recommended for all travel!
Edit: Amazon put my pics out of order. First one (waterfall) is demonstrating selfie stick mode and how I got a much better shot than a normal selfie. Then there are two about my fix for the lost adjustment cap, one illustrating my use of the tripod and remote feature, and then another of it all closed up with my fix included.I bought this for a solo trip to Iceland. Selfie sticks have connotations, but I knew I'd want pictures with me in them other than handheld selfies, and the tripod feature sounded great too.Y'all, this thing is awesome. I used it tons. It's tiny and light to pack and carry. It works great and from a decent distance. (I used it from about 30 feet away.) It worked in wind and cold and light rain. (Didn't try it in hard rain.) I ended up using it as a tripod a lot, actually, and used the remote, to get lower light/longer shutter speeds without blur, as well as great non-selfie-style pictures of myself in cool places. It did blow over sometimes when extended and in high winds, but I found ways to brace it.I ended up getting a lot of questions about where I got it, especially if people saw me converting it from stick to tripod, or from tripod to tiny little packing mode. One couple said they thought about getting a selfie stick but decided they were so lame they didn't get one. Then they spent most of their time trying and failing to take selfies with cool stuff behind them and wishing they'd brought one. So ignore the connotations and just buy this and bring it.My only negative is that the twist cap that adjusts and then holds your phone tightly was very loose on just my regular Samsung Galaxy S9 - not a huge phone - in a small gel case. I had to adjust it so loose just to get the phone on that eventually the cap fell off and I lost it. Thankfully I had a ponytail holder that I was able to rig up a system that IMO is actually better than the twist cap. Makes it almost spring loaded. (See pics for how I did it.) It's much easier to put your phone on and take it back off, and holds just as tightly. So I would say grab a thick elastic of some sort and wrap it around the tripod in case you need or want to alter the hold while on your trip.

Great item for traveling
This item is amazing! I had an issue with the first one that was delivered but customer service reached out to me and fix the problem right away sent me a New selfie stick! I will continuously order selfie sticks for family members and for myself in the future from this company because the product is amazing but the customer service is top of the line!! I will definitely purchase again and recommend to family and friends! The item is very sturdy feels very durable I use this fully extended on a crocodile tour and we were going pretty fast and it held sturdy phone didn’t move Paul didn’t move everything was perfect I also love that the feet fold in and create a handle for the selfie stick and they also fold out for tabletop videos and photos it extends long enough to do a standup selfie while it sits on the floor which I love. Very versatile very sturdy very easy to use and I love the remote.

Great value - Works great
I was expecting a cheap design with low quality materials but instead was impressed with how sturdy the device actually was fully extended. It does bow slightly due to the note 9 weight, but the amount of flex was well within acceptable limits. The remote paired well with my phone, however, the only function I was able to use from it was start / stop in video mode, and snapping pictures. Pause in video mode didn't work with my note 9. I didn't bother to see if its something that can be configured since all I needed was start stop capabilities. The biggest negative with this device was the short length handle grip. It was about 1" to short for my hands. The remote cradle used up too much of the grip length and would have been better if the handle was extended longer or the remote mounted further up above the grip area.Over all a great stick for the price.

Great Product with remote feature.
Great Product, easy to use. Affordable price, I will get two to have on hand. I like the fact that it is small and can expand upto 48". The remote makes it easier to take group pictures and selfies. The customer service was excellent, I called to inquire about operating the device and they were very helpful. A friend had one of these and I was impressed with how they were taking pictures with ease, so I ordered one also. This would make a great graduation gift, my kids were impressed with me when they saw me using it. I like the remote feature.

Way better than I expected
I just got this today but as soon as I put it in my hands, I new it was going to be a good one. The quality is 5 stars. The weight is lite, 5 stars. The mount for your phone, 5 stars. The reason I had to buy another one is, my last one broke, the mount was rigid and difficult to get the phone in and out.And the remote is rechargeable on this, 5 star. You don’t need to purchase batteries. This is going to last a long time. A very good gift to give family and friends. The price is just right.I may need to give another review once the remote is fully charged up.

Great for hand-held selfies, but tripod wore out quickly
Initially, I was extremely satisfied. However, over the course of about 3-months, the legs of the tripod seem to have become less stable. Initially, the "stick" portion of the selfie stick could be fully extended and the tripod base would remain very stable with no leaning or tilting. Now, I have to put some sort of weight on the legs or extend it only about 3/4 in order to keep it from falling over. If I were using it only as a hand-held selfie stick, I'd give it 5-stars. However, I purchased it with the intent to use it 50/50 hand-held and tripod. I'd hoped all the features would hold up for longer.
