To begin id like to say how impressed I am with these ignition coils. I bought these ignition coils because I was having 3 cylinder misfires with my 2011 Ford F-150 3.5L Ecoboost. changed the spark plugs on the truck but the misfires wouldn't go away. after swapping the old ignition coils around I realized that they were bad and decided to go with these coils. Saved around $20 not going with the OEM ignition coils but I did like this design a lot better. the packaging was really good and installed them all in 20 mins. cleared the codes and took the truck for a spin, pushed the pedal all the way down and she ran with no hesitation at all. did that for a few miles and checked for codes when I got home but none were found. seemed like I got 2mpg more when I reset the fuel economy but again that was only for a few miles. so in the end, the 3 misfires were all gone and id says I was pretty happy with everything I will definitely update this post if anything changes. ps. incase anyone was wondering, cylinder 4,5,6 were misfiring when I changed sparkplugs and ignition coils at 155k miles and i have no clue when they were last changed. 2011 Ford F-150 3.5L Ecoboost XLT. Update 3/29/21 So far so good I haven’t had any problems what do ever and it seems to have solved my problem with the misfiring for good. Really would recommend these.

Plan on swapping these coils out every couple of months. When they work, the work very well. I use these with E3 copper plugs in my sleeper truck (2013 F-150 EcoBoost w CAI, IC, full engine-to-air 3" exhaust, Garret turbos, after-market ported headers...you got the idea). Aside form the performance when they work, the only good thing is if 1 coil went bad, the other is soon to follow, then the other. So, you at least know its coming. I do not take this truck to the track. I just like having the performance on the highway, especially when a Mustang or turbo Civic get annoying. So, it's not like I'm punishing the engine race-after-race. I'm only getting 1-2K on these coils, on a brand new engine! Customer service is great. Their standing rule is if you bought a set and 2 or more coils go bad, they insist on replacing the entire set. So, I purchased a 2nd set, anticipating a full set of new, defect-free MSD coils. Replaced the coils and returned the old ones for an RMA set. Well, wouldn't you know it, after 2 months (less than 2K), cylinder 1 went bad. Ok, have the spare set, so I replaced it last Thursday. Today is Monday - I suffered another misfire on the way to work. Yup...cylinder 5 is bad. What do you think will happen in the next couple of weeks? I have been going through this since I first installed them March 2020...YES YOU HEARD RIGHT...MARCH 2020!!! So, 4 bad coils between 2 complete sets from March to October. Mind you, deduct a moth and a half for the engine being replaced. So, in reality, 4 bad coils in 5 months. In the end, unless you enjoy replacing ignition coils every couple of moths, don't waste your money. A few more bucks and I'm sure you can get better coils. **Update 20201009 - This past week, I had another misfire after replacing all the coils. The problem jumped to cylinder 4. Replaced it then tested. All good. I decided to replace all the coils with the spare set, and also replaced the E3 plugs with Pulstar plugs. Noticed an immediate improvement with the Pulstars. Unfortunately, the MSD coils were not up to the task. After replacing all the coils with my spare set, I suffered a cascade failure. yes, cylinder 4, then cylinder 6, and now cylinder 1 again...within 24 hours. I've since changed the rating to a 1. I will be continuously RMA'ing these coils until the warranty is over. That's right...I've paid over $600 altogether between the 2 sets. I've ordered the Ford coils, will remove the MSDs, then I will RMA each set. After receiving the RMA, I'm not even going to install the coils...just RMA again.

Runs like stock coils when they work, no performance gain. However the lifespan of these seem to be less than 2 years before issues arise. Right after the warranty ends. I spent $500 on these less than 2 years ago and now have to replace them with OEM ones anyways, waste of money!

Easy to install replacement for my factory ignition coils, nicely packed and seem more durable than my (in places cracked) Ford factory ignition coils. I used these on my EcoBoost 3.5L 2014 Ford Flex for reference. Install took about an hour for all 6 taking good care to prep the coils and spark plugs with needed greases. After installation, it cleared issues I was having with mild stuttering at 60mph hard pulls on acceleration. Something the old coils were experiencing after 80k miles. Super happy with their performance, mpg went up slightly, all in all would buy again!
