A standard rack will work. The width is comparable to all other mount systems.

What is the deference this unit and behringer sonic execiter

I would think that whatever this "Sonic Execiter" is would likely stand in deference in relation to the Ultramizer.

Is this better than a 16 band equalizer

I dont think the question is really if it's better than an equalizer. I use this the Sonic Ultramizer in a very powerful mobile DJ system in addition to a Behringer FBQ1502 15-Band Stereo Graphic Equalizer and a Alesis compressor. I wouldnt be caught dead without either one. They all do specific things to the audio signal and when tuned correctly will give your music that great studio sound! An equalizer is by far one of your most important pieces of audio equipment. If you are trying to choose between the Ultramizer and an EQ definitely go with the EQ! The ultramizer however is a very good addition.
