Bigger than I thought, Annoying Alarm, Easy to Use
I have ADHD and struggle with time-blindness. I've used various free visual timers on the computer before, but sometimes with work there are already too many windows, trying to figure which window is making the alarm sound, and then when I need to change things up and step away from computer screens, I wanted something physical and tangible. This was much bigger than I expected (I did not read the size specs), but it works to stay in my periphery during my day. Sometimes I'll take a nap, or need some other distraction for a time, and instead of doing mental math to figure how much time is left on my phone's alarm that I set for this time, here I just visually see. I also love that there is a stand to set up on a desk, and can be attached to magnetic whiteboards as well- which I use when I'm really distractable and have to go full on tactile with markers, magnetic strips & zero screens. "Hmm.... its 2:35, and I want to procrastinate for 15 min, turn the dial. Done!" I get my visual and (annoying) auditory signal and I'm good to go. Its simple and just works.

Life changing
Seriously. It was life changing. I bought it for the morning school routine for my preschool and kindergarten kiddos. First thing my daughter does upon waking is check to see how much time she has and if she has enough time to watch TV. I love the loud buzzer that goes off for a minute like it’s yelling at them to put on their shoes. They can hear it from their bedrooms. I love the colors and my kids know when they have to hurry to get ready. It’s so easy to set and reset. I love that it’s a magnet and can hold up my daughter’s art. I’ve already recommended it to other moms.

Good for a classroom
I use it for my work as a teacher. It’s good size for a classroom. I feel too big for using in my house. Magnet is so strong.

Exactly what I wanted for my classroom!
This is perfect for transitions in my kindergarten classroom. It magnets up to my front whiteboard really strong or I can take it down to have by a specific student or center. Unlike other reviews, I didn’t think this was loud. Even at its loudest, it’s not nearly as loud as my old timer I had to replace. But it does ring for the whole minute, which is a great timer in and of itself for clean up or “last minute” things.

Timer sound would not work
I was very excited to use this timer with our kids. Right out of the box, the sound would not go on at the conclusion of the timer. It did not matter whether it was on high or low. The timer would count down and when it got to zero there was no sound. Unless I manually turned the knob harder to the off position, then the alarm would sound. This made the timer virtually worthless for the purpose of a timer. Unless you were looking at the timer to watch the time run out would you know that your time was up. Thankfully the return process was painless. Be sure to open and test right away before your free Amazon return time runs out.

After a handful of uses it stopped working
This was so helpful the 1st 5 times I used it. Then I noticed it kept stopping at 5 min. I accused my kids of tampering w it before I did some experiments to find out the timer accurately counts down until the 5 min mark where it stops, never completing to timer. Wish I knew how to fix it.

Make it stop chiming by turning the volume off
This has been a game changer for getting my toddler to do things. Before telling him he had 5 minutes would mean fighting with us or begging for more time or being otherwise annoying, a day after getting this he knew that once the timer was done he had to do whatever task we had asked. And he did it without a fuss! (Most of the time, he's still 3.) The colorful cut outs help him know just how much time is left, which is less useful than I thought it would be tbh. We just don't pay that much attention to the last 3-5 minutes I guess. This does has the unexpected side effect of being a bridge to teaching him to read and learn about analog clocks!I've also started using this to do chores I don't want to do. I'll set it for 15 minutes and get as much as I can done, which usually puts me close to almost done anyways.I recommend this to all of my parent friends.

Five star design, one star durability
I love the design of this timer it has been amazing in my art classroom to help students (and me!) with time management. Green is work time, yellow is cleanup time, red is no, seriously, CLEAN UP time. Problem is I've now bought four of these because they stop working. The alarm sound is annoying, and the way to shut it off is not intuitive, so inevitably the knob gets twisted too hard (by a student or sub usually) and I'm out another $25. They are also impossible to disassemble to try to get at what the problem may be... I've tried. Such a shame because I love it and my students love it but I can't bring myself to buy another :( I've recommended it to lots of other teachers too, I hope their having better luck. I put a don't touch sign on it which worked for a while, but put it up high as well so kids can't reach.
