Came across this model on a forum post when searching for a buy it for life ice cube tray. Makes consistent, nice-sized ice cubes with an unaltered taste. Totally worth the extra cost for me.

This product did not live up to my expectations.The ice tray is difficult to fill. This is because the squares inside the try are the same height as the outer edge. This leaves no extra room like with traditional ice trays in which the outer edge is a bit higher than the inner squares. Spilling on the way to the freezer is pretty much inevitable.Next the ice is very difficult to remove. It does not eject smoothly and requires a lot of bending and manipulation of the silicon tray. This also leads to having to grab some cubes with your hand, and when you are preparing drinks for company the last thing you want is having to manhandle someone's ice cubes.While the shapes of the cubes are pleasing with the few you get that turn out correctly, the trouble of getting them out is not worth the trouble. If the edges were higher so the try could be evenly filled then it might be worth the hassle of getting the cubes out. However in the end it's simply not worth the effort.

Makes great 1" cubes. Easy to remove cubes trick: Run a little hot water over the outside of the tray held upside down to help release the cubes and they are very easy to remove. There is no added unpleasant plastic taste to the cubes. I highly recommend this cube tray.

Difficult to fill because there is no raised edge so you have to fill each reservoir separately making it nearly impossible to have uniformed sized cubes. And there is no lid nor any rigidity so you are very likely to spill getting it from the water source to the freezer. EXTREMELY Difficult to remove unless you let it melt significantly in order to pop out
