I purchased this for my studio office and wanted lighting that was both diffused (check) and with variable brightness (check). At the lowest setting it's almost like a night-light and the high setting is perfect for daytime lighting. In all cases it generates a soft wash above and below it and thus doesn't create any glare on computer monitors. Installation was extremely simple and took around 10 minutes max. One reviewer complained about the short cord length, and while it wasn't a problem for me, it certainly would be that much better with another 3 feet of wire. I definitely recommend getting a set of the Delamu Cord Cover (half-round) tubes (or something similar) to fix the cord to the wall. It makes for a very clean look and keeps the switch/dial in place on the wall.

Great light! I just got a new couch that fits snuggly in the corner. Which means no room for our tall lamp behind it. I found this gem and was timid with it having no reviews, but bought anyways. Glad I did! Looks so nice. The dimmer is great. Super easy to use. The various shades of light helps when you might only need a little light. I do wish the bottom had a sheer part so you don’t see the actual bulbs, but I can most definitely understand why you need light on both top and bottom. It’s not a deal breaker by any means. My husband did say the wall anchors it came with were trash, but we had some already (I think most people might?) so we just used ours. Simple install. The back plate makes it easier to move the light left or right without it falling down to adjust. Im happy I made the purchase. Thinking of getting a second one to accent the opposite wall. Recommend!

I bought this sconce a few months ago to illuminate a diaper changing station at night. I was mainly disappointed they went with a simple potentiometer dimmer as LEDs only light up at a certain voltage and can't be effectively dimmed that way. Let me give an example: when I turn this dimmer knob from OFF, the light will stay off until it reaches the LED threshold, at which point the light comes on, but not at low brightness, at some medium brightness (remember, I wanted this for night, so I didn't want anything but very low brightness then), then it gets bright very quickly as I turn the knob and the last third of the knob turn is all at max brightness. There's only a very SMALL region where any actual dimming occurs, it's an on/off switch otherwise. Usually LEDs are dimmed with a PWM pulse width change for this reason, relying on our eyes inability to detect very quick changes to brightness, so if a smarter dimmer was installed, I would buy this again as it's been very reliable to use, but the lack of an appropriate dimmer for the type of light leads me to not want to purchase another as I would them need an LED dimmer outlet adapter as well which is an extra cost I don't need to expend for other similar products.

This is my second purchase. Indiscreet- light bright and dims low. Looks great, value for the money.

I wanted to mount this light centered over a doorway, halfway between the top of the door frame and the ceiling. I drilled the holes, mounted the bracket, and attached the light before I realized that the power cord was about a foot too short to reach the outlet I intended to use. Worse, there was only about 2 feet of cord between the light and the switch, so when I tried to run the cord over the top of the doorframe and down the side, the switch ended up right at the corner where the top met the side. Now I have to unwire the cord and add a two-foot extension above the switch. I also have to buy some white electrical tape (yes, you can get that on Amazon) so the joint will not look glaringly ugly... just discreetly ugly. The manufacturer could have avoided this by thinking about where people *might* want to mount their light, instead of assuming everyone would want it part-way up a wall, directly above an outlet, and designing it so it couldn't be used anywhere else. That, and spend a few more pennies for a longer cord. Instead, they cut corners and got this bad review.

Purchased used or a returned item But it was impossible to tell that it’s not brand new. Packaged very nicely easy to install very good Product. Even at full price, which is 70% more than what I paid for it, I would consider it a good deal.

The cord is only about 4’8”, not 6’ like the product description says. A cord this short is great if you want the sconce mounted at about your chest height. Also the light is not that warm, cooler than expected, which I could have lived with if cord was as long as it was supposed to be. Terrible worthless product with a cord this short.
