Better/cheaper alternatives available
These are for the most part, a satisfactory product. Build quality was good and the shipping from Amazon was quick. There are, however, a couple of issues.Probably the biggest issue is that leads of contemporary components, and in particular: resistors and ceramic capacitors, are a very fine 30 gauge. As a consequence they are not gripped well by the breadboard which results in frequent open connections. Turn the board upside down and some components may actually fall out. I could get some components to stay put only by folding over the leads - but this was problematic when trying to get the out. Before buying these breadboards, I had purchased, also through Amazon, a component kit from ProTech Trader. This was a companion to the book 'Make: Electronics' and included a breadboard labeled SYB-120 which did not suffer from the loose component issue. Googling 'SYB-120' I found several suppliers, one of which (Open Impulse) was selling breadboards for $1.03 ... for TWO! (I had paid $9.99 for three Elegoo boards). The SYB-120s differ from the Elegoos in that they only have one bus running down each side and no labels. Nor do they clip together the way the Elegoos do. I ordered five two-packs (10 boards) for a total outlay of $5.15. The only real downside is that they took almost 4 weeks to arrive.

Ridiculously high insertion force -- UNUSABLE for microcontroller development
These boards appear to be nicely constructed and show little or negligible signs of warpage. Unfortunately, the force required to insert components is too high. I was unable to insert an Arduino Nano by hand. The units I received should not have passed inspection. I am unable to use these for microcontroller development.I will add that I am generally pleased with Elegoo's products, so I'm surprised to encounter this problem. I'm having the same issue with some 850 tie point boards that I just got, so I give them points for being consistently bad -- I suspect a recent production issue needs correction. My suggestions to Elegoo QA would be to confirm that popular boards like the Arduino Nano and ESP8266 dev boards insert/extract readily. While it's fair to point out that the header pins on these boards are significantly thicker than typical electronic component leads, I have never struggled to use ordinary breadboards to work with them. It's also fair to say that the sockets responsible for accommodating those thick header pins will never tightly grip ordinary component leads after that. This is not the manufacturer's fault.

The new kit of breadboards is much better than the old one.
On my first review I said the product didn't have a good quality because the terminal connection of the breadboard was not tight enough, so usually I had to check all connections and wire of the project. After this review, on middle of november/18, Elegoo contacted me to apologize about the quality of the product. They said "We've already designed a new breadboard which is much better then before". They sent me a new kit of the breadboards which is much better. The quality really changed and seems to be better than the first kit I bought. They contacted me one month after my first review and it shows me that Elegoo really care about your customers and your products.

Much Better Now :)
Edit: A new set of three boards arrived subsequent to my initial order. These are straight, and deserve 5 stars as they work, exhibit no bowing and are exactly what I would have expected. I am quite happy to have the newer boards - just what I was looking for. Even the color is an improvement. Good customer service, in my view!

The new ones are fantastic
I originally bought these in August 2018 and they weren't great as they struggled to hold anything with small leads. Elgoo recently reached out to me and offered a replacement because they did a redesign, and let me tell you, they really nailed it. Everything from ICs to 1/4W resistors go in with ease but still have a nice firm fit where things aren't wobbling in and out of connectivity. I prefer these over my Adafruit breadboards now.

Smaller than expected but actually good for this project
I don't remember if the dimensions are listed or not, but the boards are smaller than I thought they would be. But that is actually good for the project I needed them for. I didn't want to do any soldering so these boards were great.

Edit: This is much better version than earlier boards! Upgraded Rating!!!
Edit:I have been given the chance to review these new version boards and they are significantly better quality than my original purchase. The boards are of a better material and lay very flat which was a huge problem in the early version.I would definitely recommend these new boards. And I'm certainly glad Elegoo listens and responds to their customers reviews.Good job Elegoo!Edit: I compared the new new version to my old version and it is amazing how much better the new are. Nothing has changed on the old version from the original review I have left below. I think it's fair to leave the old review intact as a comparison.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Works ok, but not really happy with the fact that they are not flat at all. The adhesive tape on the back can't even keep them completely flat. They were cheap though, so all in all, if you're pinching pennies they will get the job done.

Cross connects and rails are Aluminum ???
I wish that they had come without the double side adhesive attached to the backside. They could have easily just placed the adhesive strip in the package with the boards. Now why you ask ???I really wanted to add "blind" power leads to the underside of the power rails. Turns out that is NOT practical and I am not too surprised. I am assuming (never a good thing) that the rails and cross-connects are made of Aluminum. They are "springy". They are not magnetic (i.e. a magnet will not adhere to them). They are not solderable. So they are likely stainless steel or aluminum. Steel (stainless or otherwise) is not a good conductor. Thus I am guessing (hoping) that these are Aluminum. One might be able to form some kind of "crimp" connection with the very end position tabs but that would likely prove a challenge.

They have been redesigned and the new version is top-notch!
Please read the entire review. For transactional purposes, I have left my old review here. The company reached out to me and sent me new boards. They have redesigned them and the new ones rock. I have attached some pictures to show the difference. Based on these new boards, I highly recommend them. You should disregard any review that is reviewing the old boards. I am not entirely sure when they started shipping the new boards, but I got mine June of 2017.Original Review:They are OK. But only OK. All 3 of mine were extremely warped and do not lay flat. I am not sure I trust them based on that fact alone. I will not be buying them again.UPDATE: After about half a year, Elegoo reached out to me after seeing my review and has sent me 3 more. I have updated from 2 stars to 3 stars because I thought that was pretty cool. I am a fan of customer service, and that really shocked me that they reached out. I will update again once I get the boards to see if the new ones have the same issue, or if the problem has been corrected in this batch.Update 2: I just got the new boards from Elegoo. They were not kidding, they have redesigned the boards. They feel much better now, more solid and professional. All 3 of the new boards were perfectly flat and straight. I am sending these bad boys straight to a 5/5 for the fact that:1) The amazing customer service. This is the first time a company reached out to me based on reviews and actually fixed the problem. That speaks for itself.2) The new boards I would recommend. They are solid. Night and day difference compared to the ones I bought awhile ago. You can pretty much throw out any review that is using the old design.

More or less unusable
I bought these for my electronics engineering class, but ended up buying a different breadboard that had more power rails, and banana plug connectors right afterwards.Eventually, I cracked these ones out of the box, and was amazed at their strength. Not in the way of how well they hold something, or the connections; but how difficult it was to get anything into the board. I found it near impossible to get LEDs, ICs, resistors, or anything at all (including 22 AWG jumper wire) into the board without nearly snapping the legs of the component. Difficult to get things out of as well. These issues were prevalent in every one of the boards I purchased. They advertise these as having a "specially designed spring clip" with "over 5,000 insertion cycles". I can't confirm whether or not this is true, as I have yet to surpass 4 insertions total over the five months I've owned the boards across any of my boards. If you want a better board (that is albeit less portable and a tiny bit more cumbersome, but has way better usability), get an ECALL EIC breadboard. You can normally find them at any electronics component/hobby shop.

Not ELGOO as shown in photos.
Fake local products sent. The product shows colored ELGOO breadboards and I received all white breadboards. See image. The ones I received are available at 25 a piece in local market. And the seller sells them by displaying different product images.

Components do not go in easily
Same experience as some of the other reviewers: The components do not go in easily, leading to bending and warping. The rails are only attached to the rest of the board via the sticky pad.

Excellent
Je n'ai absolument rien à redire
