AIRPLANE 2: The Sequel DESCRIPTION Years have passed since Ted Striker heroically saved many lives by avoiding a plane crash. Working as a test pilot for a new Lunar Shuttle, he gets innocently sent into a mental ward after a crash of the badly constructed, computer-navigated spaceship. When he hears that the exactly same type of shuttle is scheduled for a moon flight soon, he breaks out to hinder the launch. Aboard, Ted finds his ex-ex Elaine Dickinson working as stewardess again and her fiancé Simon, a member of the committee that wants the Mayflower I to be launched. In flight, the ship's computer ROK 9000 takes control, killing the crew. Ted and Elaine manage to switch it off, and now it is up to Ted again to save the passengers' lives - if there only wouldn't be these flashbacks to the war and these people who know Ted and have no faith in his abilities at all.

A great classic comedy!
I have seen this very funny movie before but it has been years so I am looking forward to watching it again!

A Lot of Fun
I know this one isn't as popular as the first film, and it's not quite as good, that's why it only gets 4 stars from me. (the first is a 5 star) That's because the first one is from the (now) legendary team of Jim Abrahams and David and Jerry Zucker. That's of course the same comedy team behind The Naked Gun, among many other funny films. So, you didn't have them this time around and they reused some of the same jokes, but they're funny jokes. For example, I absolutely love the jive talking witness from the first film during Striker's trial. I'm glad they brought him back. It's also great that they brought back some of the others from the original film, besides the obvious inclusion of the main stars, Julie Hagerty and Robert Hays. However, the absolute gem performance in this film is definitely William Shatner as Buck Murdock. He stole the show. So, yeah, this is a great film and one to watch and just laugh, not to think too hard about the plot. The Blu-Ray has really nice picture and sound. No special features, unfortunately.

Looks like they picked the wrong day to fly a Space Shuttle! LOL
This movie is absolutely hilarious!! I think it is a little funnier than the first one, but they both are funny films. I love movies like these, because comedy is about dysfunction, unpredictable humor, and this movie will make you laugh from start to finish. Lloyd Bridges is a legend, always makes me laugh. So if you want to see space with a shuttle filled with top notch comedy, pick this one up, trust me, you can't find films like these anymore.

Hilarious movie
If you loved Airplane you will love Airplane II, the Sequel. Fast action, great jokes, with movies like this I'll never get over Macho Grande!
