Easy way to check for bladder infection
My dog had been urinating very frequently and urgently, so I expected he might have a urinary tract infection. He has had them in the past and the vet recommended increasing water and giving a cranberry/urinary support supplement, so I figured I would try that first and save us the $300 vet visit. This test was super easy to use. The extender pole and cup made it so easy to collect the sample. Then, a quick dip of the stick and in 30 seconds you could see the results. The color coded key showing what the values should be was really helpful and it confirmed my dog's urine was off. I liked that this kit also had other kits so I could confirm nothing else was wrong with my dog.Once it was confirmed my dog had a UTI, I increased his water intake (by flavoring it with low sodium chicken broth), took him our more frequently and started him on a cranberry supplement. Within a week, he was back to normal and his tests were coming out normal.Because this kit only came with 2 test strips, I purchased another brand that was cheaper per test for the follow up testing. Those strips were cheaper, but they were all more cumbersome to read and didn't have an easy to understand guide to interpreting the results. I still use the wand for urine collection though, it's super handy and a regular red solo cup fits in it perfect.Overall, if you need a quick and easy way to see if you dog does have a problem, I'd recommend this.

Easy to use and most importantly
Easy to use and most importantly, accurate. My mini Australian Shepherd has a history of UTIs and I became concerned after a very unusual "potty" accident that occurred in the past when he had a UTI. I wasn't sure what to think at first because he wasn't showing any other noticeable symptoms and I didn't want to rack up another high vet bill unless it was necessary. I decided to try this at-home test first to easy my mind and provide some guidance. The test results showed "negative" for everything except for protein in his urine which hinted at a kidney condition. I called the vet and my Aussie had a urinalysis done the next day at the vet's office. The vet's results and this at-home test were the same. Blood work followed and we were able to rule out any conditions. We found out that he is healthy and doesn't have any kidney issues right now. His diet was simply too high in protein which put too much stress on the kidneys. This resulted in protein in the urine. We are currently adjusting his diet as necessary to prevent any future kidney issues. I am thankful for this very accurate at-home test that caught it on time. I will be continuing to use these tests to monitor my Aussie's urine contents for both UTI's and protein. I highly recommend this test!

Ok - but if you suspect, I suggest a trip to the vet
This is ok. One of the color bands remained white during testing which indicated urinary problems yet after a visit to the vet, there was no issues with bacteria or kidneys. No way to know for sure if the other bands were accurate but vet tests were good across the board except for liver and this test did not test for liver enzymes. I think that would be a good add.

Waste of money
I suspected something was wrong with my 7 months old pup as sometimes I see that he would leak urine after I've cleaned him. One day i noticed some reddish tint left in his urine and he would not let me touch his private area as he would jump out of his resting position. I bought this test and compared from two days until I was able to see his vet after the long holiday weekend. First one was tested on Sunday night (the day I noticed the red tint in his urine when wiping him) and the second one was tested on Tuesday morning (the day of his vet appt). Clearly showed he had a positive test for "protein" in his urine. No confirming for blood his urine but the results strip shows a color that may or may not be a positive test. His urinalysis came back negative, meaning there is no infection, blood, or stones coming from his kidneys, bladder or ureters. The concern is more maybe he had trauma from humping something or licking his private parts too much.Moral of the story, save your money and go to your vet. These strips gave a false positive and results are not as clear.

Using this test may have saved many pet's life
I was sure my dog had a bladder infection that is easy enough to treat, but wanted to be sure I was taking the right course. It's a good thing I tested first because it wasn't a bladder infection. Went to the vet right away and confirmed "dogabeetus." It was strange but easy to use the included telescoping collection system despite my dog being rather close to the ground. A+ for ease of use, interpretation and overall results.

Great Kit with everything you need that you can keep for future use or emergency situation.
This won’t be very helpful as I haven’t ended up using it, unfortunately I had to take our dog for an emergency vet visit and couldn’t wait to use this for results or to gage what was wrong with her. Turns out she has two huge calcium stones and this probably wouldn’t have been helpful in her case. However we have two smaller female dogs that it may be useful for in the future. I have to say I was pleased with the free one day shipping and received everything nicely packaged and together in the small package as advertised. It’s a convenient, helpful tool when your dog is having any type of urinary issue. I believe it can also detect sugar levels for diabetes.

Paper cup not reusable but all other aspects are great
This is a good product but would have been helpful to have a reusable cup. The telescoping wand is nice and sturdy but had to throw away the paper collection cup and still have one more test strip. I would have given a 5 star if reusable cup. The test strip was accurate. It showed my dog had an infection and the vet test came back as the same. This gave me peace of mind that I can test my dog to identify issues.
