I use it on my face only and the bar lasts me several months

I really don't know but if silk is an actual ingredient, I would assume so. I have been using this soap for a long time and find it very gentle.

Is this soap cruelty free?

Well it’s made from silk worms . Rice bran .. organic .. my face is so Sensitive but the soap was amazing

Can this be used on the scalp?

I love this soap but don’t know about that. It is super mild and rinses off well, so it should work.
