Can i eat with this patch on my lip? or sip tea? will water make it come off? like from showering?

Yes, you can eat and drink. I’m unsure about the shower though. I normally use the shower as another time to clean and sanitize my lip.

Is it better to sleep with the patch on? Or let the cold sore breathe?

I sleep with it on. It keeps it from spreading and it keeps it from cracking and bleeding.

Can you use a it on active blisters or open sores?

You absolutely can and should use it on active blisters, (this is even recommended in the instructions). I never apply them on open sores though. After removing an old patch and washing my face, I will let a healing sore dry before applying a new patch. I have never had any issues removing a patch. After several hours, they start to peel on their own and are very easy to remove.
