Hands Free Entry!
I live in a Senior Apartment building with many amenities, HOWEVER, one of the issues for me and other residents are the heavy fire doors, and front doors and activity room doors. They are ALL heavy and many have electronic security keys. This is awkward and can be dangerous if using a walker, a wheelchair or a cane. This door stop is a god send! I love that it has a hole which I immediately put a bright purple lanyard on. I use it several times a day. To prop the door open when I am taking my laundry down to the laundry room. I wedge my front door so I can wheel out my laundry cart - then remove it and wedge the laundry door to wheel cart into the laundry room. To wedge the garage fire door open when I am wheeling in groceries. WHEE - this is so convenient! I use the middle hinge as it's the most accessible for this Seasonedsenior. Today, I used it to prop open the door to the theatre for our drama class. And I am going to share the product news with my neighbors at our community meeting. This definitely ranks as one of my favorite: "Best thing since sliced bread" gadgets.

Ingenious, simple desgn that works!
This is a perfect example of a very simple, elegant solution to a challenge. As a Google Trusted Photographer, I produce Inside View google tours of businesses. One of the requirements is that we photograph the entry to the business with the doors standing open. Business exterior doors are always self-closing so I've been carrying a wide selection of wedge-style door stops. Because of the wide variety of doors I encounter, I often have a challenge getting them to stay open for several minutes while I photograph the entrance of the business. The Wedge-it is great, and has simplified this task. They're small, lightweight, and very durable, and make propping the doors open a simple job. I chose the black version since I don't want them to be obvious in the photographs, but the bright coloured ones would be better for the emergency services uses it was originally designed for so there is less chance of leaving them behind. If you have a need to prop open a wide variety of doors, I highly recommend the Wedge-It. It's simple and it WORKS.

I don't like putting my hand near the seams of doors but ...
This door stop rocks. I needed to find one that could be used to hold open a filing room door at my office without needing to be wedged at the bottom of the door, where I've added weather stripping to keep the cold air in. Is it odd to say I'm charmed every time I slip it over the middle hinge of the door and it holds it open at 90 degrees? As a musician, I don't like putting my hand near the seams of doors but I'm never worried about pinching them with this since I'm not even close to it. I've seen my coworkers try to figure out this little door stop on their own and watched them use it in interesting ways. It's very versatile. If it was half the price, I'd order a bunch of them to start using on lots of our office doors, but it's a bit too much for that so I'll just order ones as needed for specific doors that can't use the floor wedge style.

Cool wedge for the door hinge
Very creative, A DOOR STOPPER FOR THE DOOR HINGES, considering little kids and pets can remove on the floor door stopper wedge and play with it. I was hopeful when I ordered it and it worked wonderfully. This is my family favorite once they got the hang of it.I would like to suggest to the seller to mention in the product name or description that it is for the door hinge. Most negative reviewers didn't know it. I wouldn't if I didn't read the reviews, which is normal for me.Update 5/25/16:Used this wedge for more than a year now.Pros:Works wonderfully on any of the 3 hinges on the door.Door doesn't slide like the floor stoppers. No wear and tear like the floor stoppers after lots of uses.Cons:Partial opening of the door is not possible like the floor stoppers. We can forget to remove it. Remember to remove the wedge when done.****Watch out! Don't try to close the door with the wedge in!Our little one decided, its not ok to leave the door open. Wedge was still in it and lots of attempts to close the door were done repeatedly. We didn't realize that the wedge was in it, as weird as it sounds! The hinge was forcefully pulled on and the wood behind the hinge was stressed and then the nail won't stay in! Simply solved though. Used nail hole filler in the door frame and then screwed in the nail. Good as new!I will still give it a 4 star as its the best door holder I have used and our friends keep asking me where we got it! But I would definitely watch out for the door closing attempts with it in, either by the kids or the grown ups as its not obvious unless we mention it or someone is very observant.

So far does the job
We have a balcony door that we were having trouble with when it got windy. We were using a sandbag, but if it got super windy it wouldn't stay open completely. So far this is working fine. We haven't had too many very windy days, but it's been working well. We've been using it in the hinge, not at the bottom of the door. I suspect that if it's super windy and it's in the hinge, it might break it - it's not cheap plastic but it also isn't the highest quality plastic. I mean, plastic is plastic, given enough pressure it will break. So for those very windy days we plan on using it at the bottom of the door. We are satisfied with this product.
