These seemed like a great idea--but then I used them with my kids and realized that every time they roll the die, they inadvertently wipe off whatever was written in dry erase marker. Not sure why this problem didn't occur to me before I bought them. A wet erase marker might work better--but those can be easily smudged by fingers, too. I have settled on my most common uses for them and written what I want in permanent marker. If I want to remove it, I draw over it with a dry erase marker and then wipe it off before the ink dries. It leaves a shadow behind but makes it usable.

This is a great concept but has a major flaw... Whatever you write on the faces of these dice will come off with each roll as it comes into contact with a rug or even a hard tile floor. Maybe the edges need to be higher so the faces can be more recessed. I tried these a few times and gave up.

These were much smaller than I anticipated. I didn’t look at the measurements before I purchased (my fault). These would work for writing numbers or short words, but no room to write much more, even using a thin dry erase marker. My kids were a little older so we were looking to write longer words or phrases and these just don’t work for that. Luckily, the return process is painless!

Super cheap, sloppy craftsmanship. I would not purchase again.
