Saved our dog's life
Our shepherd mix was wasting away and we couldn't figure out why. Even our vet wasn't sure. Did some online research and it seemed like maybe he had EPI? He really was going downhill so it became basically an emergency. So I quickly ordered this and we used it the next day. Our pup immediately showed more energy and was clearly getting nutrients from his food (finally). The vet finally did a blood test that confirmed that it is indeed EPI (almost a week and half later for results). So glad I tried this brand as it's way cheaper than what our vet prescribed ($400!!!). The smell is not great and I would recommend NOT getting any on your hands as it tends to make them super slippery when you try to wash it off.Pair this with the vitamin B12 capsules also available here on Amazon and save your doggie before it's too late!

EPI gsd
Our gsd was diagnosed with EPI over the summer. It was horrific because he survived a horrendous bloody blowout that looked like something out of a horror movie. He had lost so much weight down to 74 pounds. He was all ribs and ravenous but not digesting anything. Once diagnosed he was put on enzymes. We were buying from that other, expensive company which is great stuff, just pricey. In my search for a cheaper, quality alternative I landed here. So, far this has been working just as well. Yes, it smells but that’s the nature of all enzymes. It is what is and I’d rather sacrifice smells to have my dog. Btw, since his diagnosis our gsd now weighs 104 pounds. It’s a miracle and I thank companies like this one.

This has been working for my dog, fortunately she likes the taste and strong smell
Like the other reviews said this has a strong smell (not like milk or urine, but something stronger) - probably because it is more concentrated (animal pancreas enzymes do smell) and the addition of the beneficial lactobacillus bacteria. However this is keeping my dog from losing weight (her pancreas doesn't fully work) - and she eats her food even more quickly when I sprinkle this on top of her food (even when I don't add water)I was using the Thomas stuff, which also worked great, however this is working just as well, but less than 1/2 the price. Also wash your hands before you eat after using it - I forgot and some powder got on my sandwich - very intense effect in my mouth - (but not going to hurt you - didn't make me sick).

READ THE REVIEWS!!! IT STINKS and causes Asthma Attacks!!!
I should have read the reviews before purchasing this for my foster dog who has EPI when the rescue didn't get his regular enzymes ordered on time. They are not exaggerating when they say it smells like cat urine....strong cat urine. I had to set my dog's bowl outside while it was soaking, because of how horrid the smell was. My foster dog, who eats just about anything because he is always hungry, would not eat his food with this on it. The only way I could get him to eat breakfast today was to dump this out, clean his bowl and offer him food with no enzymes on it. Totally out of character for him, so that speaks volumes to me.Also, like most enzymes, if you have any breathing sensitivities, this dust can trigger an asthma attack. I always wear a mask when I prepare his food until the enzymes are fully mixed into the water as I learned my lesson early on, but even though I did that today, it triggered an asthma attack and my chest and throat still feel funny. Also, the tip of my tongue feels/tastes like I licked a metal fence post. Again, I was wearing a face mask and have never had this problem with his regular enzymes (Enzyme Diane). I'm returning the product, even though it's opened as this crap should not be sold...PERIOD!!!You definitely get what you pay for, and I'll stick to the more expensive enzymes that are odorless. Amazon needs to remove this from their site.

Works for my dog
I started using this one year ago. During that time I have learned a lot. First you need to be sure your pet has epi. These enzymes are strong and you need to find the dose that works for your pet. This will take some trial and error. I use much less now than when I first started. I have slowly decreased the amount used every week or so. Second use a measuring spoon not the scoop that comes with the product. Also using a gram scale is the most accurate way to measure them. I am using 1.5 grams for 2 cups of food. Third incubate them. I incubate using 6 ounces of warm water to 9 ounces of food. I put the water and food in a bowl that has a lid, mix them together, sprinkle the enzymes on top and put the lid on for about 5 minutes. This gives the enzymes time to adhere to the food and cuts down on the odor that some customers complain about. I then stir them in and wait at least 30 minutes stirring a few more times. I then refrigerate the food and use it the following day giving 4 ounces servings at a time. It is helpful for your pet to do multiple small servings a day until your pet is stable. Final tips do not use hot water that will kill the enzymes. Cold water will take longer to work. Warm water is the best and quickest choice. 2.8 grams is about 3/4 tsp. Removing about 2 ounces of the enzymes to a smaller container and keeping the larger container sealed and stored in a cool place that will help them last longer and will be less waste if you accidentally spill them.

Works Great.
It is way cheaper than the one prescribed but I do have to say it smells a bit bad, other than that you will save money if you don't mind the smell.

My cat eats this with no hesitation
My 2 year old male cat went into sudden kidney failure after playing with a toy that had toxic dye. In July his second round of blood work showed that the pancreas had become involved and was inflamed. The pancreatitis was a complete and unwelcome surprise. I started him on this product in Mid July, he just had another round of blood work and I’m happy to report that both the kidney and pancreas are fine. My vet was very pleased with the ingredients and he will stay on the supplement. I have found that while I find the scent unpleasant, he doesn’t mind it at all. I put his wet food directly on top of it and, even if it does not fully disappear into the food, he eats it anyway - with no hesitation. I’m very thankful to have found this product.
