Requires kernel driver compile?
Working on second hour of Downloading source files for kernel driver compile and install for raspberry pi. Why in the world can’t we have an apt package for this? Wishing I’d never bought this. PITA

Initial experience
I picked up one of these Arducam lenses for the new Pi HQ camera after seeing that the 'official' lenses advertised with the camera at launch a couple weeks back didn't appear as if they would be available until at least late June. The lens arrived promptly, well packaged, with all indicated accessories. The only problem I had (which was very quickly resolved by Lee at Arducam after a post to their forum) was due to a misunderstanding on my part about the function of the C-CS adapter, which came pre-installed on my particular camera. As this is a CS-mount lens, I had thought (incorrectly) that this adapter was required to attach it to the camera. This turns out to NOT be the case. Just the opposite .. the adapter is ONLY needed if one is using a C-mount lens as it just functions as a 5mm spacer and has nothing to do with lens thread. (This was a bit counter intuitive, and I don't recall any Arducam documentation with the lens, but it is mentioned within the HQ Camera Guide documentation from Raspberry Pi). After getting this sorted out though I was able to focus the lens properly, and as they mention in their product bullets, 'it just works'. (I have not done any further evaluation yet to comment on overall lens optical quality, but so far everything looks pretty good).Just make sure to NOT use the C-CS adapter with this lens and you should be good to go.

Works great
Paired with a Jetson Xavier and a NVMe SSD and after installing the correct driver, I could shoot very high bit rate h.265 4k30p video :)

Great value
Another really good value for the cost. I have bought 3 different lenses from Arducam for my new Raspberry Pi Camera and have been impressed with all three of them so far. I am really glad this pack came with the longer camera cable, I didn't know how much easier it would make when working on my project. The 6mm lens gives you a nice wide angle and a clear picture.

Tricky to get working
The 1920x1080@60fps mode doesn't work on certain Jetson models, but 4032x3040@30fps does.... took some back and forth with the Chinese to figure this out. Also, I can't seem to find any code samples, or instructions on how to get this working with opencv (a non-trivial task).
