Used This to Feed 12V Back to the Trailer
I made some modifications to our little cargo trailer, which included a full RV style shore power input and interior AC distribution system. The trailer already had a couple of switched interior overhead lights, so I needed a way get these powered up on 12V while NOT connected to the car. The easy solution: install an interior AC fed 12V DC supply and route that back outside the trailer. That's where this Reese connector bracket comes in. Note the bracket does NOT include the appropriate mating 4-pole connector. I had the correct one from an earlier trailer wiring set. In practice, we pull up to RV power, get the AC system on, then simply unplug the trailer harness from the car and back into this Reese mounted connector. This now routes the shore powered 12V back into the trailer lighting system. Instant interior 12V! I mounted the bracket low on the frame near the nose of the trailer within easy reach of the trailer harness. It is out of the way but convenient. It makes a great place to attach the trailer wiring harness even when just storing the trailer. Helps keep the connector contacts clean.

Works as the description shows. Easy to install.
The item looks good and is a huge improvement over the hanging 4-way connector that was flopping around. I wish there was a way to secure the housing other than zip ties. Though the ties work, they are not very perminant and they tend to slide and shift a bit more than I would like. Anyway, it does work as described and the installation was not difficult.

This was almost an exact fit for my 2022 Ford F250 super duty box.
I liked the flexibility of mounting. I used it as a connection for the upper tail, turn and brake lights on a cap that I installed. I am going to Install the box on a 2004 Ford F250. I had to modify the wiring harness because they didn't match. Wile doing that I included a 4 wire vehicle side wiring harness in toit. I had to drill holes in the left rear stake pocket so I could feed the wires to the rest of the harness. I fed the wires through and bolted the mounting bracket. Now I can plug and unplug the cap when ever I install or remove it.

The concept is good, but the execution is a bit lacking.
I have two Subaru's with hitches and was sick of the dangling trailer wire. So I bought this and a Curt version (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00537FDSY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001GN6UB8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) of a slightly different design. Total cost at the time was about the same.Pros:- Keeps your stock 4 wire plug captive so it won't get messed up- Mounts to the hitch so it's nice and high and out of the way. I flipped mine over so that the wires routed on top of the hitch instead of below.Cons:- The zip ties supplied to hold this thing on broke on the first use. They are tiny and pathetic. I drive dirt roads a lot and so the harness moves around a decent bit. It might be ok if you're on pavement all the time, but I'd guess the small zip ties would break eventually anyhow.- If your 4 wire plug is anything but standard size (i.e. what Reese or Curt sell as replacements) be prepared to have to jam it into this.Overall (why 3 starts):The concept is good, but the execution is a bit lacking. I used my own zip ties to fasten this back on when the supplied ones broke and it's holding so far. And the poor fit of my 4 way plug I just dealt with and jammed it in there; works fine. The Curt that I put on the other car has it's own set of issues (like the round plug is a bit loose in the holder) but at the same time, it's screwed on and has yet to fall off. If I had to do it again, I'd get the Curt.

Nice mount for your existing trailer plug
Nice mount, I was always having to tie my wires up out of the way when not using my trailer. This mounted to my bumper and keeps my harness from swinging down.
