Shiny
Super shiny, colour shifts to somewhat purple-ish, has kind of a glitter effect, looks supercool in the light. But the coat is a little bit transparent, base needed for sure

I bought this to make a replica of Reb Beach's blue/purple color-shift Kramer guitar from the mid-80's I had a hard time finding the exact matching color-shift paint. But this is the one: Galaxy Blue. It is a perfect match over a flat-black base coat. (Reb's guitar may have had an original black-base, followed by Cosmic Blue color-shift (which is a kind of greenish-blue/purple), followed by multiple coats of the Galaxy Blue color-shift, but I did not want the green tones that you see in the Guitar solo section of Winger's video, "Seventeen". This paint produces a magnificent finish. If you want to see what Reb Beach's Blue/Purple guitar looks like, google the search "reb beach guitar blue purple" without the quotation marks and a couple of shots will appear at the top. I would have included one the photos but they are most likely copyrighted. You can see Reb playing this guitar in the video "Winger - Seventeen" during the solo segment. Right around timestamp 2:06 in the video I just looked at. This paint does not have a special spray cap, but it dries quickly and has a wonderful gloss. While I feel like this particular can of paint was too expensive, it does do exactly what I wanted it for, and I went through a number of other color-shift products, that left me with buyer's remorse, before I found this particular product.

Love it. Probably went with too many coats. But still looks great.

First of all, expensive? Yes. BUT really worth the price. I have refinished a few guitars but wanted something a little different. The guitar I was working on has rounded edges which I first painted with black lacquer spreay paint giving it a black burst effect. I then used this to paint over the black. The finished guitar is WOW. I am impressed. There are companies that will paint your guitar with chromeleon paint for as little as $200 (yikes!), but I got the same effect for $25! Nice shades of purple and bright blue with an occasional flash of gold. Really cool on the curved edges when the lights hit it. Be sure to spary it over black, primer or paint, it doesn't matter, but make sure it is compatible with lacquer as this is a lacquer based spray and may craze or crack if incompatible with the base coat (most primers are safe or a black automotive lacquer paint). This paint is a little harder to work with because it really jets out of the can. You have to be quick and always keep your hand in motion when spraying. It is NOT the same as all other cans of paint. Probably has to have the extra pressure in the can due to the fact that you are spraying particles, not just liquid. Just keep you hand moving to avoid runs. Once the colorshift paint had dried, I then shot several layers of clear lacquer over top to really bring out the effect. I still have half a can left and am looking for more things I can shoot with it! My daughter's bike helmet is looking verrrrrry intriguing. I really like this stuff!! Good luck with it. It's really a great product.

I purchased and installed a fully custom double DIN Android head unit and custom made fascia for my car a while ago. I kept it stock silver for a while, then sprayed it gloss black. The black spray job was poor. I finally got around to sanding off the old paint and respraying it to this gorgeous colour shift paint. I fully sanded the old paint away, and cleaned everything with isopropyl alcohol to ensure cleanliness. Once dry, I sprayed 3 layers of Rustoleum Flat Black Primer. I then layered 4-5 layers of this colour shift paint and let everything dry overnight before re-assembling. The result? Gorgeous. No runs, no dry or missed spots, no blotching. Came out looking really clean. I'm now planning to spray the other 2 stock blue interior pieces when I get time now. TLDR: This is great quality paint, worth the price tag. Buy it.

Did my engine block and valve covers for my jet boat and they came out great! Must spray over a black base coat and with many thin coats. When I used it like 4 years ago it was $30 a can and it took 3 cans to look really good. Now it's down to $20 a can.
