Content Machine: Use Content Marketing to Build a 7-Figure Business with Zero Advertising

I think everyone should read this book, why? Because... everyone should know something about creating good content.
I think everyone should read this book, why? Because in this 'choose yourself' world we now live in, everyone should know something about creating good content and having a system to do that. Like Seth Godin says we're all artists our art is our product, or our business and without marketing it's not going to be seen or heard. Better yet, purchased!Dan doesn't hold back sharing his own secret sauce for his success (and failures) over the years and provides everything you need to start your own content machine. What I love about Dan's books is how practical it all is, the title might have you thinking you'll come out the other side a one person writing machine (and maybe you will), but Dan shares how he also involves volunteers, contractors, guest writers and even influencers in powering that perpetual content machine.I found the section on different approaches interesting as well, some marketing techniques can leave you feeling less than proud to be considered a marketer but it doesn't have to be that way.The greatest aspect of the book is often the examples of the techniques in action either within his own company WPCurve an innovative approach to flat rate monthly pricing on small WordPress jobs, or those of other businesses doing well in their respective markets.I've often recommended Dan's first book '' as a practical way to start thinking about starting your own business (even though the title doesn't give that impression) and now I'd quickly follow that up with Content Machine to have a system to build and grow an audience for your new products and services. They go hand in hand, from the day you know what your are going to launch you should probably start working on your content machine!Don't forget to check out the downloadable resources, with recommended tools, templates, frameworks and step by step guides on useful things every business will eventually need.

This book helped me quit my career, pay off $15k in debt, and build an automated $65k/month e-commerce business.
I started following Dan right before 7 Day Startup came out. At the time, I was $15k in debt and working a 'career' job in the construction industry that I had 0 passion for. With the precise guidance of Dan's content in 7 Day Startup, I was able to move away from 2 failing startups and actually create a location-independent automated business that worked. In just under 8 months, I eliminated all debt and created a $40k/month Amazon business. Then, when Content Machine came out, I was able to apply automation, delegation, scaling, networking, and content creation advice to scale this business to over $65k/month, fully automated. I moved to the pacific northwest, and I travel for passion constantly. I work on my business about 12 hours/week. I am now using Content Machine as a whole to create a second content business related to the success I have with my ecommerce business. Dan gives direct advice and resources, and lays out a world of possibility as to which direction to go. Every sentance has value, and there is 0 fluff. Buying the book alone won't change your life, but if you buy the book and implement what Dan teaches, and actually take action, you can achieve anything you want.

Essential Reading for Digital Marketing Specialists
Dan Norris is a content machine - that much I knew before I even picked up the book (or well, downloaded it). What I didn't know was if he was able to pass on the necessary know-how that allows others to reproduce what he achieved: Build a multi-million dollar business empire on the basis of content marketing. If you're looking to save time, you can stop reading the review here and just move on to clicking the 'buy' button. Because Dan Norris delivers. He addresses the most important bottlenecks in content marketing: The reason why it doesn't seem to work for businesses, how to change that and how to scale things once you figured out what works. Using practical examples he walks readers through step-by-step on how to execute effective content marketing. Content Machine is the '4 Hour Work Week of Content Marketing'.There's no shortage of marketing books and it's a hard decision which ones to buy, read and - the most expensive part - implement. Dan's book is one of the few where I doubled down on implementation, going as far as recommending it to every member of my digital marketing team as 'essential reading'.Advice from a lot of so-called 'marketing gurus' often ranges from beating on a (dead) one-trick pony, to gaming a different system every day anew, to 'just build it and they will come'. Dan doesn't fit into any of those categories. He provides actionable advice on building a sustainable business without the feel-good fluff that other writers employ to inflate page count and egos.

This is one of the best books on the topic of content marketing and entrepreneurship ...
This is one of the best books on the topic of content marketing and entrepreneurship I have ever read. It is packed full of useful, topical and actionable information, written in a confident and very engaging style. I read it from start to finish without clicking on any of the numerous links to additional information because I simply couldn't wait to see what was on the next page. Now I plan to read through it again slowly and take notes, studying the additional information and really putting it into action. I have been studying the topic of entrepreneurship and online business for some months now, to the point where I am starting to realise I probably know as much (in theory) as most people writing books on the subject. I can pick a batch of crap (and believe me, I've seen a few) however Dan's book was a wonderful surprise. It not only showed me some new information, but also confirmed some of the opinions I was secretly forming about some of the information I have already read (ie that perhaps it is not all totally logical and correct). I also like the fact that he is a fellow Aussie!

Knowledge you can immediately put to use
I write - for myself and for one of my startups. Creating high quality content has never been one of my challenges. Building a scalable system, on the other hand... well, that's exactly what I bought this book for. I'm glad I did: Dan's hard-earned wisdom is immediately usable. I specifically found what I was looking for in chapter 5 - the machine side of things. The first 4 chapters cover the quality side of the equation. And guess what? Good thing I read them. This is a helpful resource.Happy readingShawn

Great for local SEO, helps me compete well when my competitors barley write.
I use the book mostly for SEO purposes. It's practical and actionable and gives you a good guideline to write content that people love.If you're in SEO, it's not the complete picture, but if you write quality content as he suggests, then that's plenty of SEO benefits for you.
