Professional grade
This was well worth spending more money on having a professional grade polisher that is heavy duty. I used mine several times already and for several hours at a time in 80+ degree conditions out. It's been worked hard. Very happy with this unit.

Power and durable.
Works great and tons of power. The on/off switch is in an awkward place. The speed control wheel is constantly in the way. The unit is the heaviest I've ever used.If you're going to use it for a boat or the sides of a van/SUV then take lots of breaks as the unit is heavy. For hoods of cars and vertical surfaces obviously the weight is helpful.Excellent material quality but needs ergonomical improvements. IMHO.

Buffer
Great product enough said 😀

Works, but vastly under powered.
I got this buffer as a present from my wife after ordering a Porter Cable for myself, I got to use both. Although the Chemical Guy unit doesn’t vibrate as bad as the Porter Cable, it has a very weak motor and has a hard time getting even 1500 grit scratches out. Even the slightest pressure and the pad will stop moving. I also found the Chemical guy’s unit to run much hotter then the PC. Last, the off/off switch location on the very back of the unit is a terrible design, the speed adjustment is also in a poor position and the hand you use on the backside with accidentally move the speed selector causing even more bog. Doesn’t really matter, you have to run the tool on full speed to get any decent cutting out of it. Good point is it’s easy to swap backing plates, I now only use it for small pads (3”) as it seems to work better with a reduced load. No one want to spend a bunch of $ on a tool that barely gets used so for the price point, you get what you get. That being said, the PC is the better unit even if it’s a little bulkier and a little harsher on the hands, it will save time and get the job done. I’ll relegate the Chemical Guys unit to buffing wax off, it really can’t do much else.
